Ayumi gets stuck in with the next stage of the Gone With the Wind set design and creation. In this diorama you can see the drinking straws and cable clips I will be using for drains and pipework and also a window frame which will be part of the build. When I can, I buy damaged windows in the bargain basement as these are less than half price and can easily be fixed with some superglue gel. I'm pretty pleased that Ayumi has decided to help me out with this project - I need all the help I can get!

Designer labels.

I was doing a project for Age Concern, that’s how I came to be in this retirement home. They wanted specific images for a book, so I had set up the image I needed, when I spotted this gentleman looking very interested at everything I was doing.

He sat by himself, I had some time, I walked over to him and had a very lovely chat, he wanted to know all about the project.

It struck me again how lonely people often are and a bit of human kindness, some attention and a laugh can make their day (and mine!).

I saw things were ready for the next shot when he asked me:” was I not going to photograph him?”

So I said of course… that made him very happy yet he did not feel like smiling, which was fine by me, I liked his curiosity.

It was only after the development and the viewing of the negs that I saw what I really had captured!

I wonder if the designers imagine who they're all designing for! They probably think only of the young and fashion conscious?

Do they ever think where their designer labels might turn up?

This is a poignant and I hope also very thought provoking image.

I love this photo because it is full of social commentary and has a lot to say.

Another difficult one to print, backlight, no flash, just some neon lights on the ceiling, it all adds to the atmosphere.

I often like the discipline of touching back the basics, one camera, one lens, grainy 400 asa b&w film, and go out there.

The Frenchton is a designer breed created through the cross of the Boston Terrier and the French Bulldog breed. The Frenchton is recognized by the ACHC. This designer breed can also be registered through IDCR and ICA. Frenchton are gentle, intelligent & playful. They love to play with their families, please their masters and do well with children. This designer breed is an excellent family pet.

The English Boston-Bulldog dog breed is a lovable friendly dog that sports a solid stout body. A combination of traits from both the Boston Terrier and the English Bulldog parents results in a hybrid dog breed that is devoted to family, and a committed family member. They can be sensitive and don't like being ignored or left alone too long. This hybrid dog breed enjoys chilling out with the owner and family. They can suffer from exposure to extreme heat which can cause heatstroke, and they don't like the severe cold. The English Boston-Bulldog is lively as a puppy, but slows down with age.

The oldest of the designer dog breeds, cockapoos are not a true breed but, rather, a cross between the American cocker spaniel and the poodle. This offspring of a purebred cocker spaniel and a purebred poodle is also known as a cockapoodle, cockerpoo and cock-a-poo. Cockapoos are bred more for temperament than for appearance, and they tend to inherit the sweet, loving and friendly natures common with both parent breeds. They are highly intelligent, easy to train.

Pomapoos are hybrid designer breed dogs. They are not purebreds like their Pomeranian or Poodle parents. The Pomapoo dog breed may have existed naturally over the years, but designer breeders started intentionally mixing Pomeranian and Toy Poodles in late 1990's. Many Pomapoo lovers describe these dogs as friendly, laid back pups with a happy outlook. They are intelligent and affectionate, and they're said to be small dogs with big personalities. Pomapoos are typically not aggressive or shy. They are generally very friendly,
