My mother also designed the first women's form fitting bathing cap, for which she held a U.S. Patent with B.F. Goodrich. This old photo was found by my sister in some old files we had yet to go through until recently. What a find! And still in reasonably good shape. I am not sure of the date, but guessing it was probably around 1939.

I love them both, not sure which one I prefer though, but then they are both very different interpretations so it's hard to compare. I do think that the eyes and hair of 2015, with the makeup and eyebrows of 2013 would make a great face.

Designers United is a 12 day long fashion event featuring exclusively created products from a group of talented designers, based on a theme. Each designer has created items specifically for this project, and they will only be available for sale for a limited period of time.
The theme chosen is "Narcissus", and the designers have interpreted this theme to make items based on the colors, textures or feelings evoked by this flower or myth.
This bi-monthly event is being hosted by the Floyd sim, and will be held from September 4th to September 15th.

It's not surprising that the Labradoodle has gained such popularity so quickly. Originally developed to be hypoallergenic guide dogs, the first planned crosses of Poodles and Labrador Retrievers were arranged by the Royal Guide Dogs Association of Australia. The result was a smart and sociable dog who not only possessed a nature appropriate for guide dogs but also had a low-shedding coat.

I was doing a project for Age Concern, that’s how I came to be in this retirement home. They wanted specific images for a book, so I had set up the image I needed, when I spotted this gentleman looking very interested at everything I was doing.
He sat by himself, I had some time, I walked over to him and had a very lovely chat, he wanted to know all about the project.
It struck me again how lonely people often are and a bit of human kindness, some attention and a laugh can make their day (and mine!).
I saw things were ready for the next shot when he asked me:” was I not going to photograph him?”
So I said of course… that made him very happy yet he did not feel like smiling, which was fine by me, I liked his curiosity.
It was only after the development and the viewing of the negs that I saw what I really had captured!
I wonder if the designers imagine who they're all designing for! They probably think only of the young and fashion conscious?
Do they ever think where their designer labels might turn up?
This is a poignant and I hope also very thought provoking image.
I love this photo because it is full of social commentary and has a lot to say.

Another difficult one to print, backlight, no flash, just some neon lights on the ceiling, it all adds to the atmosphere.
I often like the discipline of touching back the basics, one camera, one lens, grainy 400 asa b&w film, and go out there.
Served in the lobby of our North Las Vegas hotel. I didn't like it... too much cucumber taste. If the water out of the tap isn't good, two or three drops of lemon juice fixes it for me.
