The challenge was to design an identity that would appeal to the collegeite crowd while maintaining the integrity of a “local’s” bistro.

Tunnel of Hope at Vivid Sydney
Designworks, in collaboration with The Benevolent Society, has created a unique, interactive light installation that will be launched this week at Vivid Sydney. Designed as a walk-through tunnel, the Hundreds and Thousands installation is composed of thousands of little LED lights, which can be controlled individually and respond when visitors interact with them. People are invited to share their hopes for the future of Australia’s children via Twitter (#hopesforchange), or through the website hopesforchange.org.au. The greater the number of people sharing their hopes, the more dynamic the lighting effects become.
“This is a fabulous way to bring the role of The Benevolent Society to life” says Mark Kennedy, Managing Director, Designworks Sydney. “Hundreds and Thousands is an extension of the transformation and design work we have recently undertaken for The Benevolent Society.”
“The aim of the brand repositioning was to capture and articulate The Benevolent Society’s key role in driving positive social change in Australia, and the Hundreds and Thousands light tunnel brings this aim to life by providing Australians with the ability to share their hopes and dreams via social media feeds.”
Says Anne Hollonds, CEO of The Benevolent Society, “Hundreds and Thousands is so much more than a light installation, it’s a wonderful platform to engage with Australians of all walks of life and share a little bit of our history, what we stand for today and our vision for the future. The light installation is exciting and thought-provoking, and will inspire people to share their hopes for change for Australia’s future….We are absolutely delighted with the result.”

This was a card kit by Design Works, IIRC. In the original chart the dinosaur said "Hi" but I changed it to my initials. It's stitched on 18-count Aida. For the passe-partout I used water colour and an old tooth-brush. To test this method I tried it out on the wrong side, but it came out so well, I ended up using it, wrong side or not.
Made everything within for my typographic class, looks pretty swank right? Cardboard, paper, and glue :-)
Stitched presents for friends and family - and successfully testing out the new scanner at work ^_^v
I was thinking to myself as I walked around with my camera and new strap how much less it will suck to accidentally let the strap fall into the frame of the shot. This could have just been a seriously bad photo of my own leg, but instead I captured this cool shot of black and orange leather with all the textural goodness in the field of focus.
