The mother-to-be wanted it to be very spa and zen-like. She was starting her morning at the spa with massages, and then the baby shower was being held in the afternoon. Plus, this was her second baby shower with a more intimate group of friends.

For this zen-like invite design, I went with a more simplistic and clean color palette with shades of green representing life and a stone grey symbolic of earth. On the cover is an illustration of Buddha in a relaxed, meditative pose sitting in a Japanese rock garden surrounded by succulent plants. The typography treatment is very clean and graphic pulling in strong key words that sound calming, "relax. nourish. and celebrate."

Custom invitation design, reverse side of cover - shower information, custom circular labels and envelopes from Paper Source.

Technique: 4-color ink on Epson Heavyweight Matte Paper, printed front and back on an Epson Stylus Photo 1280 printer.

Please comment this work!

Thanx )

Finally set up the computers and online. Decor is still to arrive :)

This is a lovely shop on Grand Avenue in St. Louis right across from Tower Grove Park. I tried using both a single exposure shot as RAW and a three exposure HDR. This is the HDR version, and I like it much better. Hopefully, it's not overdone, but conveys the inner warm, inviting glow and the fall colors.

The Botanicals Design Studio used to be called "Botanicals on the Park".

Technical:

I actually used a cooling filter in photoshop to get the color right. I found that cooling the photo actually enhanced the glow due to the contrast.

I call this inspiration board a Modern, Vintage Mexico, because I have elements of old traditions such as the lace on her veil, the church, the vintage map, gold jewelry, silver table decor and the use of old-world typography. The modern aspect comes from the use of nontraditional things for the wedding decor. I am embracing local plants to Mexico like succulents that can be used in the bridal bouquet, boutonniere, table centerpieces and on the wedding cake too. And throughout the board, you can see that "modern pop of color", the deep plum, as an accent color – in her bouquet with the orchids, her oh-so-chic pumps, and hints of it in individual succulent plants.

Colors: Peridot, White, Brown + Black

Spring is around the corner, and I can't wait for that first hint of green to bloom on branches and for the grass to peak though the ground. And it's getting close to wedding season, too! Here's a great color palette to pay tribute to a spring wedding that is fresh, rustic, and with an edge of modernity.

The lively color of Peridot goes great with the earthy brown, and then I wanted to add a bit of sophistication through black and white accents to add elegance to the overall setting. Use unconventional ingredients for the decor and table setting – mossy arrangements, dogwood branches with white blooms, black lacquered manzanita branches and an eclectic mix of large white vases. For florals – green mums and soft, white florals like peonies and tulips. And how about a hand drawn invitation design showcasing a flower which sets the mood of feel of your overall wedding with calligraphic and traditional fonts.

In 2005 St John Ambulance Victoria approached Lemonade to provide a fresh take on their flagship communication piece. The end result was a warm reception from the community, key stakeholders and staff, not to mention a coveted Silver Award at the MADC awards.

And last but not least is my personal Art Studio room in which I am sooo desperately in need of right now. Currently, my dining room is filled with projects for a client wedding. Thank goodness we don't eat in there too often or my husband would have a tiff about it. For this room, I wanted to keep it generally neutral with white and beige tones, but then offset with a pop of color and fun. I loved this area rug from FLOR, because it reminded me of the Missoni brand, and its use of textiles in fashion. Besides having a lot of energy and movement, I liked its playfulness for my art room. To contrast the edginess of the rug and bright red side chair, I wanted a rustic, craft feel since it is a work studio. For the floors, I am going with a white-washed distressed wood finish in a laminate material which will be good for the basement in case there is ever water damage, and it will be highly resilient for my laborious projects. For the main light fixture, it's an over-sized barn-like pendant lamp that suspends over the main work table with two cast-iron stools underneath. I can't wait to work in this space!

Our ongoing work for the Orange Tree group, a collection of bars with an idependent spirit aimed at a like-minded crowd continues with new work for their branding, print material and interior design. We have created bespoke vintage-style imagery with strong custom typography and colours to set their bars apart from the competition and create a relaxed and quirky atmosphere for their customers.

Colors: Gold, Ivory + Brown

A charming & cozy wedding inspiration board the embraces the holiday glitz of gold ornaments to the wintry landscape of white snow and rustic pine cones. Colors of gold, champagne, ivory, white and browns glisten in the table settings, the dessert table and accessories. And the wedding favor that is sure to warm your guests' heart are soft, delectable chocolate chip cookies with a glass of milk. Also don't forget to find a couture-like shrug with your wedding gown; it's the perfect wedding accessory to cover your bare shoulders from the cool, brisk air.
