This sustainable dining space for West Sussex County Council was completed in June 2012. Fordingbridge were comissioned to design and build this building as part of a government initiative to provide hot meals to primary school children accross the country. The building includes a kitchen space, toilet facilities and a large dining hall which can be split into two independant teaching spaces.
Features include:
• A sustainably sourced FSC accredited glu-laminated timber-frame.
• low maintanance highly insulated composite panel walls and roof. Joints are sealed for airtightness to reduce heat loss from the building.
• A natural ventilation system creates a pleasant environment with no energy demand.
• An underfloor heating system supplied by an air source heat pump. this system provides a comfortable even heat with exceptionally low energy demand.
• Argon filled triple glazed window units with low emission coating.
We understand that fast and efficient construction is paramount to a project. Our canopies and buildings are constructed using a tried and tested building system of pre engineered elements assembled on site. This minimises construction time and limits disruption to you and your project.
Fordingbridge provide a full design and build service for school buildings from classrooms to dining spaces. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
