Online photo exhibition is the last 3 days! For details, check the description. I was planning to actually exhibit it at a gallery in Tokyo in April, but it was postponed at the request of the government.
COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2 is attacking all over the world. Japan is no exception, and everyday is becoming more difficult. As a photographer, I also thought about life and postponed the exhibition according to the government's request. The Japanese government does not support artists. So I decided to hold an online photo exhibition. This is free to watch.
The photo exhibition should be in the dark in the room at night, preferably with the playlist. Look at the brightness of mobile terminals at 1/3.
Thank you for your support. Thanks to everyone, we had more access than in Japan. Thank you. Last but not least, I would be happy if you could share the URL of the photo exhibition on your SNS. Thank you!
Grey Wethers Stone Circles, Dartmoor, Devon, UK. Really is worth a visit, it's quite a walk from the nearest car park, but such an amazing location, only cattle, ponies, sheep and a lone kestrel hunting for what seems to be miles around. Handheld, Pentax K7 paired with the SMC Pentax DA 55-300mm ED lens, I realise this shot is not really in focus anywhere so is technically lacking but it's 'feel' overrides this for me....more like a painting than a photo....hope you agree. Grey Wethers Stone Circles consists of two stone circles next to each other.

DESCRIPTION:
When we take a picture during a sunset , usually we are attracted by the bright colors we see in the west and rarely point the camera in the opposite direction, towards the east. Yet, if the condition are favorable (clear and transparent sky ) the show we would see would be just as beautiful. This photo, taken by Acireale, a city of Sicily located on a hill overlooking the Ionian Sea , wants to be a testimony. The color element that dominates and characterizes it is the pink band extended for about 20 degrees above the horizon, known as “ the belt of Venus”.
The belt of Venus is an atmospheric phenomenon due to backscattering of the red sunlight at sunset by the particles of the atmosphere that are on the opposite side of the sun.
Near the horizon, due to the shadow projected by the Earth, the belt progressively decreases in brightness and color until it disappears completely.
The phenomenon lasts a few minutes and is visible even at down, just before sunrise.

During my walk from Murnau to Ohlstadt in Bavaria I walked along the Loisach river. The Loisach is a tributary of the Isar and the Isar is a tributary of the world famous Danube. Some parts of the river have a beautiful blue-green color. I decided to get off the trail to get a closer look at the river. When I got close to the current I was enchanted by the beauty of the water and the green surroundings. I was all alone, because the spot I had chosen is not known by tourists, but it is very beautiful. On the waterfront I decided to take some pictures first and then turn my phone off completely. No distraction for a while. With my pants pulled up I walked barefoot into the clear water and that was very cooling on this sun-drenched warm summer day. Staring at the impressive mountains of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, I then stood in the shallow part of the river and decided to close my eyes and think about nothing for a while. It was another special experience in beautiful Bavaria where I experienced a moment of satisfaction and ultimate peace in one of the most beautiful tributaries of the world. All my beautiful experiences of recent times have been made possible by the 9 euro ticket. Unfortunately, everything comes to an end and August 31 was the last day that the ticket could be used. I used it for three months. Only 27 euros for travelling in thee months. Sweet 9 euro ticket, it was an honor to carry you with me in the summer period. I miss you already, but the memories will last forever in the form of my photos. There will therefore be a lot of pictures here on Flickr of my adventures in Germany.

Even geen afleiding.

3. Ich trag für dich mein Licht.
Und sag, ich vergess’ dich nicht.
Lass uns Hand in Hand durchs Leben gehn.
Ich trag für dich mein Licht.
4. Ich trag für dich mein Licht.
Es verbindet dich und mich.
Und zieht weiter in die Welt hinaus.
Ich trag für dich mein Licht.

DESCRIPTION OF HISTORIC PLACE
Gairloch Gardens is located at 1306 Lakeshore Road on the south side of Lakeshore Road, along the shore of Lake Ontario in the Town of Oakville. The property consists of a three storey stone and stucco residence that was constructed from 1923 to 1924.
The property was designated by the Town of Oakville in 1986 for its heritage value under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act (By-law 1986-192).
HERITAGE VALUE
Located at 1306 Lakeshore Road, Gairloch Gardens is a lake estate associated with two prominent Oakville locals. Colonel W.G. MacKendrick had the home built for his family in 1923. Upon his death, Toronto investment banker, James Gairdner, purchased the estate. Gairdner named the estate “Gairloch” after a small Scottish town. Upon Gairdner's death in 1972 the estate was bequeathed to the Town of Oakville for use as a park and gallery for contemporary artists.
Gairloch Gardens is a good example of Tudor style residence. Typical of this style is the stone and stucco exterior and steeply pitched roof. Continuing with this style are the tall narrow fenestrations with multi paned windows. The hip roof features a prominent cross gable with exposed beams between the first and second storey. The estate has many unique attributes such as a meandering stream, pond and formal gardens.
CHARACTER-DEFINING ELEMENTS
Character defining elements that contribute to the heritage value of Gairloch Gardens include the:
- proximity to Lake Ontario
- three storey stone and stucco exterior
- hip roof
- prominent cross gable
- original twelve and eighteen paned windows
- two large stone chimneys with decorative chimney pots
- exposed beams
- meandering stream
- pond
- formal garden areas within the park setting

Description of the District
The Cross-Melville Heritage Conservation District is bounded by Sydenham, Melville, Cross and Victoria Streets in the former Town of Dundas, now the City of Hamilton. The district consists of 49 properties. These properties are predominantly single family dwellings with the exception of three churches.
Cultural Heritage Value of the District
According to the Cross-Melville Heritage Conservation District Study - Background Report the cultural heritage value of the district lies in its historical and associative value, design or physical value as well as the contextual value. The Background Report concludes:
“The Cross-Melville area constitutes a superb collection of buildings with particularly fine architectural attributes. Tree planted along the streets enhance the surroundings of individual buildings and provide expansive canopies over adjacent streets. Developed in the 1840s and 1850s as the first exclusively residential area distinct from the commercial and industrial locales of Dundas, this neighbourhood is associated with numerous prominent citizens, mayors and councillors, including George Rolph, William Notman, Alexis Begue and the Grafton family”.

Accessibility Description: A towering curtain of rain hangs suspended in the sky, glowing golden where the low sun strikes it. The rain appears to evaporate before reaching the ground, a phenomenon known as virga, while below, red rock mesas catch the last light of the day. Warm tones highlight the cliffs on the left, their rugged forms rising above a dense forest of green pines and junipers. The sky is filled with dramatic clouds, a mixture of gray, peach, and white, with glimpses of deep blue breaking through at the edges. The entire scene conveys both grandeur and transience, a fleeting desert storm dissolving into light above the enduring sandstone of Sedona.
Automated description generated with Google
Depth of field: The blurred foreground and background create a shallow depth of field, drawing the viewer's attention to the middle ground.
Vignetting: The darker corners of the image, also known as a vignette, are a stylistic device often used in vintage photography to focus the viewer's eye on the central subject.
Color tone: The entire image has a warm, slightly desaturated color cast, giving it a retro look.
Texture: Layered textures mimic signs of wear and tear, such as scratches or stains, to create the impression of an old photograph.
Composition: The figures are not placed in the center but rather follow the rule of thirds, creating a more dynamic composition.
Perspective: A low camera angle makes the small statues appear more significant and present.
Low contrast: The colors are muted and the contrasts reduced, which also contributes to the nostalgic vintage style.

Słubice is a Polish city that is only separated from the German city of Frankfurt by a bridge that crosses the border river. It is a 25 minute walk at most from the center and the station of Frankfurt and you enter Poland. Until the second war, the Polish part still belonged to Germany and Frankfurt. However, after that terrible war, the Allies decided to shift the border. From Slubice, beautiful Poland is at your feet and the favorable prices for food and all kinds of other products will ensure that a lot of money can be saved. In the typical Polish town with a German touch you can enjoy a walk along the river Oder and If you like miniature golf, you can even play a game in a compound of the cities impressive football stadium. If real golf is more your thing, then the breathtakingly beautiful golf course in the city is an absolute must. It is one of the most beautiful golf courses in Europe and the grass seems even greener than the green green grass of home. Who knows, there may be a Tiger Woods in you. Ladies who love shopping will also find what they are looking for in this very interesting place and finally it is a real pleasure to see the famous monument of the city. This photo I took from the city bridge.

DESCRIPTION: We have very cloudy weather in CZ during December. I had only approx 20 minutes to catch a photo of Great Conjunction between the clouds in December 22, around 17 PM. The photo is not so impressive, but I am happy to had small change to captured it. Jupiter is in the center together with his four moons, Saturn is close right. His egg shape is caused by his ring. There is no more details because low elevation (approx 13 degree) above horizon and strong wind...
This conjunction was visible in year 7 BC and very probably was perceived like sing of coming the Messiah.... Conjunction will be visible around this year Christmas above south / west horizon after sunset. DO NOT MISS IT. To watch Star of Bethlehem around Christmas is possible only one in hundreds of years.
I WISH YOU CLEAR SKIES AND BLESSED CHRISTMAS ✨

Description is up to you who watching this photo...
Photo Taken from Rangpur using NIKON D60 with the help of sunlight & two mirrors, And of course with the help of that tiny sweet Goldfish. And Thanks to My friend tayef.
I couldn't find a decent description of this spot, but it is located in the Truso valley in Georgia, and earlier I posted a picture of that scenic valley (www.flickr.com/photos/115540984@N02/49212632131/in/datepo...) where we stayed the night and enjoyed the spectacular setting of this Caucasion mountainscape.
What you see here are travertines, a sort of terraces formed by local springs, that contain a lot of minerals. The most famous terraces I know can be found in Turkey (Pamukkale).
The ones here are mostly orange and white, and if you look closely you can see a continuous film of water flowing over the rocks, depositing more material.
20 September 2019 I came back from my journey over a part of the Silk Road to and through Central Asia. 4 months of traveling through 14 countries (Germany, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran) before I flew home from Teheran. An impressive journey in countries that are extremely beautiful, with lovely and welcoming people and diverse cultures and history.
Intense traveling with more than 20000 kilometers in our mobile home on sometimes roads that hardly could be called that way. We saw many villages and cities (some wonderful, others very ugly), countries that are transforming from the old Soviet era into something more related to older cultures and the way people live, often funded by oil readily available around the Caspian sea. We saw the amazing mountains south of the Black Sea, the wonderful Caucasus, and the high mountains in the far east close to China with peaks over 7000 meter, and not to forget the (Bulgarian) Alps!
We crossed the great steppe of Kazakhstan. a drive of at least 5000 km, the remnants of lake Aral, once one of the biggest lakes of the world, saw a rocket launch from Baikonur (this little part is Russian owned), we crossed many high mountains passes, and drove the breathtaking canyon that comes from the Pamir, beginning at ca 4500 meter, and going down for ca. 400km to an altitude of 1300 meter, driving for 100's of kilometers along the Afghan border.
And then the numerous lakes with all sorts of different colors from deep cobalt blue to turquoise, and one rare spectacle in Turkmenistan where a gas crater is burning already for more than 40 years. And finally and certainly not the least to mention an enormous amount of wonderful, hospitable and welcoming people. The woman often dressed in wonderful dresses, and bringing a lot of color in the streets of almost of all countries we visited.

Description of Historic Place
The Armoury is located in a mixed residential and commercial area in central Brampton. It is a mid-size, rectangular building with a low-pitched gable roof. The building’s sturdy brick walls feature engaged pilasters and elaborate detailing on the gable end. The designation is confined to the footprint of the building.
Heritage Value
The Armoury is a Recognized Federal Heritage Building because of its historical associations, and its architectural and environmental value.
Historical Value
The Armoury is associated with the pre-First World War armoury building campaign and the reform and expansion of the volunteer militia. The building reflects the federal commitment to provide good local training facilities for the militia. The construction of the armoury recognized the importance of the town as a military center and reflected its growth and prosperity.
Architectural Value
The Armoury is a good example of a mid-size, standard plan armoury which follows the Militia Council plan type “B”. It demonstrates very good functional design as evidenced in the steel roof truss construction, which accommodates an unobstructed drill hall. It also exhibits good craftsmanship as evidenced in the contrasts of materials and the elaboration of details on its gable end.
Environmental Value
The Armoury is compatible with the present character of its mixed residential and commercial neighbourhood setting. It is a well-known building within the community.
Character-Defining Elements
Its standard plan, functional design and quality craftsmanship, for example:
- its rectangular footprint and symmetrical massing;
- its low-pitched gable roof with elaborate tracery corbelling, limestone coping along the parapet and keystones for the circular windows at the gable ends;
- its load-bearing exterior walls clad in red brick with engaged pilasters and detailed with flat-voussoired windows, and troop doors with limestone detailing for the keystones and sills;
- its multi-paned wood and metal sash windows;
- its large, open drill hall with exposed steel trusses and extensive glazing.
The manner in which the Armoury is compatible with the present character of its mixed residential and commercial neighbourhood setting and is a well-known landmark within the community, as evidenced by:
- its scale, high standards of construction and materials and its location in the center of town, all of which contribute to and are in keeping with its surrounding townscape;
- its strong local presence through its continued use for community activities which makes it a familiar building in the community.
Description in English and Dutch:
I already uploaded photos of the Westduinpark in The Hague near Scheveningen. Wednesday I was in the same park, but then the part near Kijkduin. This is photo number 7 in the new series. It is an impressive dune area that runs approximately from Scheveningen harbor to Kijkduin. There are Scottish Highlanders in the protected nature reserve to control the vegetation and there is really a lot to see in terms of flora and fauna. It is a combination of dunes, open sand area and forest. It is very special there because dunes and forests alternate and sometimes merge into one another. On warm sunny days, a lot of women walk barefoot on the sandy areas, to experience the ultimate feeling of freedom. There are hiking trails as well as cycle paths and horse riding trails in the very interesting park. A lot of people are really impressed by the vegetation, bunkers from the Second World War, steep dune hills and the impressive viewpoints. The view at those points of the beach and the sea and on the other side the buildings of the city is truly phenomenal. Come there once and experience a invisible blanket of oasis and peace. You will imagine yourself in a kind of paradise where worries and problems do not exist and where the war of thoughts in everyone's head disappears like snow in the sun for a moment in time, because freedom is in each of us.
Nederlands
The description of Lofoten as a fairy tale land comes from the Norway's great poet Bjornstjerne Bjornson.
When you like nature as me, Lofoten is an amazing place to be, especially Reine. Reine has been chosen by Time magazine as one of the most beautiful fjords in the world, a sight for sore eyes. The views are just breathtaking, snow covered mountains, deep fjords, and beautiful colors.
The weather in Lofoten changes rapidly in winter. First half of my trip it was none-stop raining almost every day, I spent most of my time scouting or sitting in my cozy water front Rorbu cabin and enjoying the view from the window.
Landscape photography is a waiting game, this is the one after ten days of waiting ...…
Does it look like a scene from Frozen?

Description of the District
St. Clair Boulevard Heritage Conservation District runs along St. Clair Boulevard between Delaware Avenue and Cumberland Avenue. The district consists of 38 residential properties.
Cultural Heritage Value of the District
The Heritage Conservation District Planning Background Study and Plan discuss the value of the district:
“The St. Clair Park survey, registered in 1911, was one of a number of residential surveys laid out in Hamilton’s east end just after the turn of the century, a boom period for residential construction throughout the City. The St. Clair Park Survey formed part of a middle to upper class residential area comprising a number of surveys, which extended from King Street East to the foot of the escarpment and from Wentworth Street South to Gage Park.
As was common practice in Hamilton at the time, the St. Clair Park Survey has building restrictions in the form of restrictive covenants registered on deed to the lots. Restrictions on the cost, construction and setback of the house account to a large extent for the cohesive character of St. Clair Boulevard’s urban streetscape.
While the restrictive covenants associated with the St. Clair Park Survey has building restrictions on its social make-up, the social composition of St. Clair Boulevard was nevertheless very homogenous, comprising middle to upper-middle income families of Anglo-Saxon origins. In the course of its history the boulevard has attracted some of Hamilton’s most prominent citizens; notably, he well-known and highly-respected judge, William F Schwenger and the successful construction company manager, Ralph W. Cooper. The Boulevard is also noteworthy for its social stability, owning to the long-term residence of most of the homeowners and
continuous use of the houses as single-family dwellings”.
Designation of the District
The designation of St. Clair Boulevard was initiated by local residents following the designation of the adjacent St. Clair Avenue district. According to the Background Study and Plan, “a petition requesting designation of the area...signed by all 37 homeowners, was presented to LACAC at its December meeting
and was supported by this committee”.
The St. Clair Boulevard Heritage Conservation District is protected by By-law 92-140, passed in 1992.
