Great sign, couldn't resist.

Minolta 70-210mm f4 "beercan" lens. Comparing to the 28-85mm f3.5-4.5 for some upcoming macro shots. This guy has better magnification at the minimum focus distance, but shallower depth of field at the same aperture settings. I'm sure someone out there is slapping his or her head and saying, "Well, duh!" but that someone is not me.

LOOK AT THAT - Cool stuff... the only thing in focus is a spider web filament or something similar.

My cat Tejina decides to help me with my new camera. This really shows how shallow a depth of field you can get on an SLR, even with an inexpensive lens, compared to a P&S camera.
