I shot this photo by zooming into the object I was taking a picture of, also making sure that there is a some sort of backround.
I posted this photograph because I believe that this is a good example of the depth of field with the sharp dog in the foreground and the blurry water plants in the back round.
Shutter speed:1/30
f-stop: 25
This hot shot here is my best male friend. Most gentle and honest guy I've ever met. I tried to create a shallow depth of field over here too but I wasn't able to completely blur out the background.
Aperture F 5.3
Shutter Speed 1/50
ISO 200
In this photo I used shallow depth of field to blur distracting background
On the lawn of the Conservatory, there were a large amount of these bell-like flowers. In an attempt to record the spotty pattern in one of the many flowers, I took this picture and had the other flowers in the background to show depth and distance between this flower and the rest in the garden.
I took this photo a couple weeks ago while I was having fun with experimenting with longer shutter speeds on my camera. For this photo, I set the shutter speed to 1/4 of a second, and rotated my camera as I took the photo. The result is pretty cool, I think. The bride and groom are isolated from the crowd around them on the dance floor, and all the lights around them appear to be aura-like.
f/2.8 @ 1/4 second.
f11 this is my miniature version of the in class demonstration we did. At f11, you can clearly see the difference in the background
Relative size- coffee cup is pushed up against picture plane, is larger than chicken immediatly behind it.
texture- smoothness of mannican contrasted with chalky texture of wall, textures less noticable through darkened doorway in background.
relative clarity- shapes and forms less distinct in background, clear in forground.
linear perspective- left edge of table, knife, and line on ground plane in lower left all help space recede
occlusion-glass of milk in front of mannican in front of painting - we percieve there is space between these objects
shadow/light- scene in foreground brightly lit, individual colors and forms become obscured as things move back in space and into shaodw.
