03RalphCacho02 depth

My favorite image from this set. :)

I shot this picture because it shows detail and the depth of field of my dog and the background.

wow, sometimes my little camera impresses me

I shot this photo by zooming into the object I was taking a picture of, also making sure that there is a some sort of backround.

This little glass vase with the tulips is one of my favorite glass decor at home.

Depth of field in play here.

I posted this photograph because I believe that this is a good example of the depth of field with the sharp dog in the foreground and the blurry water plants in the back round.

Shutter speed:1/30

f-stop: 25

This hot shot here is my best male friend. Most gentle and honest guy I've ever met. I tried to create a shallow depth of field over here too but I wasn't able to completely blur out the background.

Look at all the crap in my room!

More of the beautiful red hedges.

Depth of field where the background is the main focus.

Aperture F 5.3

Shutter Speed 1/50

ISO 200

In this photo I used shallow depth of field to blur distracting background

On the lawn of the Conservatory, there were a large amount of these bell-like flowers. In an attempt to record the spotty pattern in one of the many flowers, I took this picture and had the other flowers in the background to show depth and distance between this flower and the rest in the garden.

Focus on the plant, water drops frozen in air. F10, shutter speed 1/640. Compact camera.

f/4.5 shutter speed 1/800 ISO 100

depth without bokeh is the new topic around here.

I took this photo a couple weeks ago while I was having fun with experimenting with longer shutter speeds on my camera. For this photo, I set the shutter speed to 1/4 of a second, and rotated my camera as I took the photo. The result is pretty cool, I think. The bride and groom are isolated from the crowd around them on the dance floor, and all the lights around them appear to be aura-like.

f/2.8 @ 1/4 second.

f11 this is my miniature version of the in class demonstration we did. At f11, you can clearly see the difference in the background

Relative size- coffee cup is pushed up against picture plane, is larger than chicken immediatly behind it.

texture- smoothness of mannican contrasted with chalky texture of wall, textures less noticable through darkened doorway in background.

relative clarity- shapes and forms less distinct in background, clear in forground.

linear perspective- left edge of table, knife, and line on ground plane in lower left all help space recede

occlusion-glass of milk in front of mannican in front of painting - we percieve there is space between these objects

shadow/light- scene in foreground brightly lit, individual colors and forms become obscured as things move back in space and into shaodw.

Processed with VSCO with c1 preset

The image does not show all of the depth in the clouds

f-stop 3.8 shutter speed 1/1600 I think this picture embraces depth the field cause i was able to capture the stone on the fountain so well that the rest was blurry but it looks nice.
