Depth of field. My piano at home

when camera is close to the subject

This is my first shot experimenting with SL’s depth of field…and I love it! This shot has barely been touched so I’m even more impressed by how high quality the detail is.

I wil definitely be using it again and again and again :D

Show depth in the photo.

And, yup, my finger. Authentic!

Shot in Johannesburg South Africa. This was a test shot using my new Tamron 24-70 VC lens

Shutter speed 1/4000 skateboard wheel !

Shutter Speed : 3.2

Aperture : f/2.8

for this picture is use long exposure with a filter to darken the surrounding enabling me to use quite a long exposure to make the water look very smooth

I felt that this was a good example of movement because the car is the only clear image while the background is moving along with it.

Love the depth of the trees

Focused mainly on wristband. Depth of field, wristband on point of interest.

ISO 100, 50 mm lens, F-stop 5.6, shutter speed 1/1.6

Fstop=5.6

The grasses on the forward and back ground are blurry. The focus is on the middle. The houses and trees on the back ground are also blurry so you can tell the depth in this picture.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

This is my 7 year old sister laying on the carpet. Here she is shown with great detail, while the back of the classroom is blurry.
