In 1749 the royal house of Oldenborg celebrated the tercentenary of ruling the Country and to mark this occasion King Frederik V (1723-1766 - ruled Denmark and Norway 1746-1766) decided to build a church in the new town in honour of God and the absolute monarchy. Both the church and town were named after him - Frederiks Kirke and Frederiksstad. The master planner and builder of Frederiksstad was the King’s leading court architect Nicolai Eigtved - who also was the architect of the Marble Church.

The New Little Belt Bridge (Nye Lillebæltsbro).
Getting closer to our destination, we cross a beautiful bridge.
The New Little Belt Bridge (Nye Lillebæltsbro) is a suspension bridge that crosses the Little Belt strait between Jutland (Jylland) and the island of Funen (Fyn) in Denmark.
The bridge is 1700 metres long, the main span is 600 metres, the pylons reaching a height of 120 metres, and the maximum clearance from the sea is 44 meters.
Opened:October 21, 1970, the bridge was constructed to alleviate congestion on the Old Little Belt Bridge due to the increasing car traffic between Jutland and Funen.
It is a motorway on the E20 bridge with three-lane carriageways as opposed to the single lanes of the old bridge.
The bridge has heating in the road deck, so it can be kept free of ice and snow in winter.
Passing through Little Belt Bridge is toll free… amazing.
Hope you enjoy?

Make the choice to embrace this day. Do not let your TODAY be stolen by the ghost of yesterday or the “To-Do” list of tomorrow! It’s inspiring to see all the wonderfully amazing things that can happen in a day in which you participate. (Steve Maraboli)
It´s been a while ago. On a cold and windy december day on the danish baltic coast I walked around with a couple of friends, when I found this lightbulb. I put it in upright position and wanted to take the photo of a deserted beach (something like "the day after") But I waited for my friends to leave the frame. After a while I just took the picture and did not care anymore - it was just too cold to wait much longer. I guess it has come out even better with the people in the background.
This was done with a small and cheap film camera, no postproduction.
