I was also an employee of the NY Telephone company at the time. I was an ESS Tech (electronic switching systems). Mainframe. Pearl Street. My job was to give dial tone to the phones at MSG for the event. Over 10k phones went in.

i like these visually democratic scenes. their lack of human element maybe leaves them flat as far SP goes, but i enjoy them as records of place and time.

i found this in my hotel room in denver and i have never seen white m&m's before. we are here to cover the democratic national convention. note that for security reasons apples aren't allowed in the press centre. they might be used as weapons. you can get away with bananas though.
as i was moving to get closer this guy opened his eyes and looked at me, so waved and moved on. i usually only feel bad if the other person knows i'm interested in shooting their plight, as if that somehow magnifies it. if they don't know, i have no qualms.
there's probably a contradiction in there somewhere, but it's hard to explain.
I voted today. It's super Tuesday in Illinois and I did my part! This is the room where my precinct votes.

There was an election at the time of our visit to Bali in October 2018, so flags of The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle and others were common.
The current President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo is a member of this party, which may explain why they were more prevalent than other party’s flags.
