In Delafield, Wisconsin, on April 28th, 2021, the Bark River as viewed from the Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Riverwalk (the Delafield segment of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail), west of North Genesee Street, in Liberty Park.
The Bark River flows to the Rock River, which flows to the Mississippi River.

I'm not entirely pleased with this one, but I'm mainly trying a new method of making these, which worked out quite well... even though I'm not jazzed about this particular image. Next time, for sure...
Due to a leak in the dam holding the pond, the swimming pond had to be drained and closed. The cost of repair is too much and a breach in the dam would destroy the houses below so it has been close indefinitely.

My dad, Jon Ulvestad, pitching a game for Delafield in the Land 'O Lakes Division of baseball. Probably taken in the mid 1950's or early 1960's.
One last tree holding its fall color. Taken at the Lapam Peak Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest near Delafield, WI. HDR with 5 exposures at 1 ev spacing.
We grilled sausages that we had purchased at Ceriello Foods in Delafield, Wisconsin. We also grilled zucchini. Sliced watermelon and Mothership Wit beer completed meal #20101052, consumed on August 6, 2010.
I ***love*** weird gloomy scenery of weird urbanized creeks with weird creekbanks in weird towns, and I was surprised and delighted and touched that a footpath that affords views of such scenery would be a federally-designated "National Scenic Trail." I hope it will be the start of a trend!
