A few weeks back, while in town for the Oceana air show, a very good friend of mine surprised me, and asked if I would like to go out on the Washington for the day.
I could go on forever with what to say here, but I will let my images tell the rest of the story.

6115 was built in 1927 by the North British Locomotive Company in Springburn, Glasgow. It was named Scots Guardsman in 1928 after the Scots Guards. It starred in the 1936 film Night Mail.
6115 was rebuilt in 1947 with a new tapered type 2A boiler. It was the first of the rebuilt engines to receive smoke deflectors and the only one to run with them as an LMS engine. It was renumbered 46115 by British Railways in 1948 and was withdrawn in January 1966

The shape of the deflector dish trench kit part is wrong so I cut out the middle and cut a piece of sheet styrene to the correct shape for around the clear deflector dish insert.
