Gretchen (me) I actually like this picture a lot, it kind off seems that I wasn't the one who took it, and yeah it was me xD
This is an interesting photo because the two different shadows revealed by this stone in this photo helps define Einstein and Newton's theory of light is not a mere wave of energy, but actually particles of light energy.
Two different shadows; but one shadow is created with and absence of light, and the other shadow is actually created darkened blue light particles passing through the pigment on this stone's surface. The two different shadows produced by this stone in the morning sunlight show how the light particles refracted through the quartz crystals on this stone's surface are separated into particles diffusing into the perimeter surrounding this stone helping define particle light technology.
The stone's shadow in the upper quadrant above the stone indicates a clear shadow defined by an absence of directional light coming from the sun without corruption of light particles. The blue shadow image on the left side of this stone is technically not a black shadow without light; but a redirection and diffusion of light particles passing through the quartz pigment on the surface of this stone and subsequently creating a secondary image of light particles similar in theory to a modern movie or slide projector???
The projected blue image in the background behind this stone may be a little blurred because of the diffusion of blue light particles, however the image is actually more detailed than the physical image found on the stone's surface.
The physical image on the stone is similar, but somehow the projected image appears more refined and detailed in comparison. Because of the universal movement of all physical bodies within our world; it is impossible to recreate these images from day to day, season to season, and year to year. There is only one chance to capture these projected images and without the elevated knowledge to finding the lock and key for this ancient and unknown light technology, capturing these images can only be a guessing game of pure chance; North America, culture unknown.
These images were created for a series I made into a book.
I was mapping myself and those involved.
Each one is a portrait of a person who has had a significant impact on me at some point or throughout my life.
The objects they hold are representing someone who has been a significant impact on them.
Hands are individual and unique. By having them hold an object I can accurately represent someone without using a typical portrait. It also gave me the leeway to expand the project to involve an aspect of someone significant to them instead of just them being significant to myself.
