Atop Mt. Fuji
Nihon University-Mishima, Japan Spring 2012
This was the very last thing i did for my term abroad. It was the most physically and mentally exhausting thing i have ever done but was completely worth the nine hours it took to climb. Mt. Fuji is the highest peak in Japan and each year, thousands of people make the climb, both foreign and Japanese. My friends and I had to get to the very top by 4:30 am to catch the sunrise and after struggling to get to the top we were able to catch the very end of the sunrise. The sun was so strong that it was almost blinding. It felt like i had accomplished a successful term abroad. Right after we took pictures we passed out at the cafeteria located at the top. It was definitely something that cannot be forgotten.
