One of the buildings of La Defense, Paris.

When going to Paris it's almost impossible not to have clear ideas of what you want to shoot. Almost accidentally though I stumbled into their business district which is a pretty cool place in its own right. Sometimes all it needs is a change of perspective to find beauty in what surrounds you (and some post-processing...).

One of the most difficult parts of this build was getting the cockpit looking right as well as all of the angling underneath it. The whole shape of the front was based of that heavily emphasized line on the concept art. The landing gear isn't as large as in the concept art, mainly because It needed to be small enough to be retractable.

Large ballista with twin firing spears on top of one of the towers gets the defenses started...

La Défense is a business district located in the Greater Paris metropolis in Île-de-France, the first in Europe by the extent of its office park, the second in Europe for the volume of financial activities after the City of London and is ranked fourth most attractive business district in the world according to a study published by the firm EY in 2017. The district is home to the headquarters of many French and foreign companies as well as the European banking authority. It is located in the northwestern suburbs of Paris, in the Hauts-de-Seine department, on the territories of the communes of Puteaux, Courbevoie, Nanterre and La Garenne-Colombes, at the western end of the historic axis which begins at the Louvre Palace and continues through the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, the Arc de triomphe de l'Étoile and beyond to the Pont de Neuilly and the Arche de La Défense.
