A PhD-Defence in International Health, here at the University of Bergen. The PhD student presents his/her work and consequently is challenged by two "opponents" (as seen on the picture). In this case, the opponents were quite friendly. Sadly after the two hours of discussion the ceremony just ended WITHOUT awarding of the title. We just went home knowing "that it was OK and the committee will decide within a few weeks time. Fantastic, not even a doctoral hat after all this effort!
