The Royal Naval Association (RNA) is a social association of British Royal Naval personnel and Royal Naval ex-personnel and which has around 20,000 members across 300+ branches in the UK and overseas (as at 2018). The RNA is a self-funded organisation run by volunteers that provide regular social events, fundraising as well as advising on welfare and employment matters to its members. The RNA also aims to support the Royal Navy by maintaining its traditions and customs, provide comradeship, support, re-uniting ‘shipmates’ and helping disabled Royal Navy personnel along with their families and others in need.

Pill box at Upnor, a part of the Chatham Dockyard defence system.
Pillboxes are concrete dug-in guard posts, normally equipped with loopholes through which to fire weapons. The originally jocular name arose from their perceived similarity to the cylindrical and hexagonal boxes in which medical pills were once sold.[1] They are in effect a trench firing step hardened to protect against small-arms fire and grenades and raised to improve the field of fire

Marša laikā kadeti pārvietojās iepriekš sadalītās, jauktās komandās, kuru sastāvā bija Sauszemes spēku, Jūras spēku, Gaisa spēku un Komandējošā sastāva virsnieks studiju plūsmu pārstāvji. Marša laikā kadetiem bija jāveic uzdevumi dažādos kontrolpunktos - šķēršļu trase, medicīna, pārceltuve, spēka izturība, sakari, kāpēc lietas ir redzamas, kokardes tests un ieroču salikšana. Marša distancei paredzētais kontrollaiks bija 9 stundas.

The Israel Defence Forces Alpinist Unit: (Yehidat Ha'Alpinistim) is a specialist mountain infantry reserve unit of the 810th Heharim Regional Brigade under the command of the Northern Command
Its role focuses on clandestine operations, cold-weather and mountain warfare, long-range penetration, medical evacuation for battlefield injuries, reconnaissance, and tracking targets, operating in the difficult terrain in the northern front, especially Mt. Hermon.
The Alpinists are proficient in many aspects of cold weather and mountain warfare, among them shooting and suddening attack while sliding on skis and custom made snowcats and defensive tactics. The unit was established in 1983.
