Vegan restaurants have gotten a bad rap over the years. Meat marketers defame vegan dining establishments for serving only "rabbit food," saying that patrons leave hungry. But nothing could be further from the truth. Here are the tasty, filling meals you can only find on a vegan restaurant in Spokane.

1. Grilled Seitan Sandwich - Seitan, a wheat-based meat substitute that has a texture very similar to poultry, is a delicious sandwich-stuffer popular with vegetarians and vegans alike.

2. Real-Deal Veggie Pizza - Veggie mozzarella cheese replaces dairy cheese on the pizza at a vegan restaurant in Spokane.

3. Tofu Scramble - A common attribute on vegan restaurant Sunday brunch menus, the tofu scramble is a loaded jumble of tofu and fresh veggies. It has all the taste of a breakfast mix up at other restaurants without the fat and cholesterol. You leave your table full every time.

4. Hummus with Bread - Hummus, a spicy spread reminiscent of bean dip, is fantastic on fresh pita bread. Thai Bamboo vegan restaurant in Spokane make their custom blend of hummus and bake the pita bread fresh daily. You can order it for your appetizer or make an entire meal of this Mediterranean favourite.

6. Vegan waffles with soy sausage - Vegan restaurant chefs have mastered the art of fluffy, tasty waffles without eggs, making them a favourite on the veggie breakfast menu.

Vegan restaurants in Spokane cook up healthy, hearty meals to appeal to a variety of taste preferences. Order one of these filling meals next time you visit a vegan restaurant in Spokane and you won't leave hungry.

Both the LRC and Momentum wholeheartedly and unreservedly condemn all forms of racism and fascism.

This meeting, co-hosted by Sussex LRC and Momentum Brighton & Hove, took place at Brighton Friends' Meeting House on 1 June 2016. As Labour's inquiry into anti-Semitism within the Party got underway, speakers Louise Purbrick (StopMFE), Ian Saville (Jewish Socialists' Group), and Jackie Walker (Momentum vice-Chair & LRC Executive) urged everybody to support anti-racism campaigns and to take appropriate action against racists wherever they are encountered, beginning by supporting the protest against the far right march in Brighton on Saturday 4 June 2016, and continuing by contributing to Labour's inquiry.

Speaker after speaker encouraged everyone to defend the right to free speech - which allows us to criticise political ideologies, and to make Labour's internal structures fair and democratic, so that members cannot be suspended and defamed on spurious grounds.

MP Prem Singh Chandumajra today said that the SAD would file a defamation suit against senior Congress leader Sunil Jakhar for bringing a bad name to state by penning the script of an imaginative scam worth Rs 20,000 crore on account of misappropriation of foodgrains.

Interacting with the media at Nawanshahr today, he said that the issuance of Cash Credit Limit (CCL) by the RBI had vindicated the stand of SAD-BJP alliance that there was no misappropriation of a single grain in the state.

He slammed the former CLP leader for “indulging in cheap politics over this sensitive issue. Had there been any embezzlement, the RBI would not have issued the CCL to the state,” he said.

“In their mad race to emerge taller than their rivals within the party, the Congress leaders were indulging in mudslinging, thereby misleading the people. The gimmick of Jakhar to get a FIR registered was just to score brownie points before the media,” he added. However, as a true custodian of Punjab and Punjabis, the SAD would not be a mute spectator to such gimmicks and would file a defamation suit against the Jakhar,” he said.

On his part, Jakhar replied in the same tone and tenor. “Instead of being sensitive to their own reputation, I wish that the SAD leaders had been more sensitive over the plight of the farmers. If they want to sue me, I also expect them to sue RBI governor Raghuram Rajan and the CAG authorities for exposing the issue.

The Akalis should also sue Union Food and Consumer Affairs Minister Ram Vilas Paswan and the BJP at the centre for withholding the CCL and making the farmers suffer,” he added.
