The AudibleLabRats consists of emcees,: Nomadd and S.T.U., and the incredible DjSkid
(2002 ITF Hawaii Region Champion, 2005 DefJam Dj Battle winner, 2006 Scion Movement winner). After paying dues at almost every Hip-hop event in Hawaii, the 3 hooked up to form the
AudibleLabRats. In 2004, they dropped their debut album, "The Balikbayan Project"."Balikbayan"
is a filipino term, meaning "to come back". The theme for the AudibleLabRats was to come back
to their roots in Hip-hop. When Hip-hop was pure, ghetto, and fun! The Balikbayan Project (recorded on a 4 track) was basically about everyday life, and was soon making waves out in the local area. Songs like "The current of currency", "What matters?", "Checklist", "Without the fee!", and "Awakening", all became instant classics. The Balikbayan Project was spread to parts of the West Coast and out to the Phillipines, despite its low sound quality. The AudibleLabRats stage show gave them more recognition as on of the elite Hip-hop groups in the state, as they performed throughout the local area.
