Spacial Gnosis by Nicholas Beaujouan
I watched the newest Star Trek movie on DVD.............again. Always inspired by seeing the Enterprise on the big screen, I decided to break out a couple of models and "play" for a bit.
This was the actual torpedo casing they used for Spock's coffin. Hence, it's about Leonard Nimoy's height. Which I couldn't quite estimate without lying on the floor, which I did not do. Apparently the prop was also used in several other movies (and possibly episodes), but I don't remember all of what our tour guide told us. Still pretty cool. Apparently it's the only prop they allow the public to touch, but only b/c it's too big to fit inside the glass cases.
Deep Space Nine's in the background.
There are just two of the actual screen used Quark costumes in my collection. They are among my favorites. To see the other Star trek Ferengi costumes I own, go to:
The sign for the Hilton Las Vegas, advertising Star Trek the Experience. Barry Manilow was also there...
Trying to look serious doesn't work too well! I am on the Enterprise D bridge at Star Trek: The Experience wearing an actual Quark costume from Deep Space Nine. This was at the Las Vegas 2008 Star Trek convention.
