Chickadees had been seen at the entrance, so, I thought they were nesting in the gourd birdhouse, a few meters away from the wrens, as they had in other years.
While I was out with the camera, the wren entered the gourd after the chickadee left - what happened? Do wrens consider chickadees competition?

O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good,
And His mercy and love, forever stood.
Remember the deeds, of His mighty hand,

And rebelled against Him, whom we adore.
We have gone astray, from His righteous ways,
And worshiped idols, all our numbered days.
We have forgotten, His wondrous deeds,
And complained, about our every needs.
We have disobeyed, His commands and law,
And caused His anger, against us to gnaw.
But even then, He remembered His love,
And showed mercy, like the wings of a dove.
He saved us, from the hand of our foe,
And led us, where His goodness would flow.
O give thanks to the Lord, for His mercy endures,
And let us sing, of His goodness that secures.
Let us remember, His deeds, great and small,
And give Him praise, above all.
