Focused ... The Sun Run from Dee Why to Manly is either 7km or 10km, a little hilly at first before a nice flat finish. These shots aren't of the winners and the super fit bods, they are of everyday people out to set a PB or just get a little fitter. To all of them, well done and congratulations; the joy at making the distance was inspiring.

I love this particular photo firstly because of the water's reflection of the clouds. Secondly, within the first few seconds of the sunrise, you can see the contrast between the darkness and the bright pinkish-red bursting forth.

Dee Why is here about two thirds of the way through its fifteen-minute trip across Sydney Harbour from Manly Wharf.

Storm clouds rolled in very soon after this shot and killed the remainder of the sunrise.

Was happy with my last minute decision to scoot down to Dee Why for a sunrise. Lovely clouds in the sky reflected the sun's rays just after it popped up on the horizon. It also lit the headland before me very well too.

I always enjoy spontaneous activities especially when it involves fellowship and the beach. I had a seriously fun night!

Being a tad into health & fitness + photography, it was an fantastic opportunity to meet Cathy Adams (4 times Miss Australia - Bodybuilding) & her partner Ian Cameron last year.

Good friend Mario Bekes, who organised the shoot, told me the other day that Cathy recently won her 4th Australian title. Congratulations Cathy!

Pre-oiled Cathy Admas Flex (front double bis) was captured early morning at Dee Why pool on Sydney's northern beaches. Under flash, Cathy's fake tan was doing some slightly weird stuff under arms.

This is from a series of photos. If you have time please take a look at some of the other captures in my Bodies set.

Mid-winter beach walk

the weather was particularly beautiful the other day, so strolled down to the beach with the 7D on a pole to see if i could make something happen...tried 5 different locations, this seems to be the only one that wants to work...pretty happy with the outcome!

got a lot of strange looks, not sure if it was the bright yellow 3.6m pole...or the bloke holding it...a couple of people asked if they would see themselves on google...nah...just flickr!
