Western Heritage Pavilion at the Longhorn Project Was Dedicated in May of 2000.

The Western Heritage Pavilion, a part of the Clear Creek Independent School District Agriculture Science Center Learning Laboratory, more commonly called the Longhorn Project, was dedicated May 24, 2000 at the Johnson Space Center (JSC). The dedication ceremony recognized the corporate sponsors, local companies and individuals who have donated time and money for this unique educational project. The invitation-only ribbon cutting was at the Pavilion, adjacent to JSC's Rocket Park. The Longhorn Project, developed jointly by JSC, the Clear Creek Independent School District, the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo and the Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of America, provides local high school students with a one-of-a-kind learning environment that combines Western heritage with state of the art technology.

Mount Eerie

A leper hospital dedicated to St. Giles stood in the township of Boughton beyond the East Gate of Chester. The founder is said to have been Ranulph III, Earl of Chester but the hospital possibly existed before 1181. It was endowed by successive Norman Earls of Chester and remained in constant use until 1643, when defensive measures during the siege of Chester necessitated the demolition of buildings outside the city walls. The cemetery remains to mark the site.

Built in the 10th Century and dedicated to Shiva. The temple was the birthplace of Khmer classical style of architecture and the bas-relief work is the best example of Khmer classical art remaining.

The pink sandstone structure bears a series of striking and beautiful sculptures, lintels, pediments and friezes. Khmers say the temple must have been carved by women for the details are too fine for the hands of a man.

Q: What do those plaques in sidewalks and streets that read "SPACE WITHIN THESE LINES NOT DEDICATED" mean?

A: After receiving this question from two different readers on the very same day, PW placed an urgent call to Streets Department spokeswoman Cynthia Hite, who copiously researched the practice, tracing it all the way back to jolly, old England. "Dedicated" space, Hite explains, refers to public property used, say, for streets and sidewalks. There are two ways to open a new street. The first and most common method is by affidavit. British common law, she says, allowed a practice known as "adverse possession." This means that if you care for a piece of land for a certain amount of time and no one tries to boot you off the land, you get to claim it. "The same philosophy applies to the city," she says. "Under state law ground must be in public use for 21 years. At that time affidavits can be filed with the Department of Streets stating, by at least three citizens, that this ground has been an open street for at least 21 years." "Dedication" is the other method for opening a street. In this case, says Hite, a land owner dedicates part of their property to public use, such as a street or a sidewalk. "When a person places one of these markers in the sidewalk," she continues, "they are accomplishing two purposes. One, they are stating the ground behind the marker is private, not public, and they are also putting people on notice that this is not a street and therefore cannot be opened by affidavit." Bet those office tower owners are breathing a little easier now.

The Railway Brick Museum, located in the former artisanal bakery in Leut (Maasmechelen), is Belgium's first museum dedicated entirely to LEGO bricks and is one of the few in Europe. 3,2:1 (or a little more, not sure) magnification This very tiny salticid has just 2 mm. Very hard to photo. These days are not usual to find salticids. They love sunshine as Singapore seems to have a lot. As I told you, here the weather keeps raining...

Due the fact this salticid is juvenile (2 mm) is not possible to determine even the genus level. Genitalia is not well developed, so it is impossible to get species level, and sometimes the genus level.

(my cmos sensor must be cleaned. :( I don´t know how can I clean by safe...)
