I was asked by a Flickr friend to look into a few things he spotted via satelite images out at Wendover. I went out there and took this image of a map that explains the local features.
There are two sets of ponds east of the airport. The first and closest set are sewage ponds where they dry the water sludge mix after treatment. The second set of ponds slightly out farther away is where a company isolates potash from the local area and then harvests and sells it as one of the components of fertilizer.

Testopstelling van de quadrature decoder module. De encoder schijf en de detector blok zijn 3D geprint. In de detector blok zitten 3 halls AH3144. In de evcoder schijf zitten 10 neodym magneten en een extra magneet voor het home punt. Eerst had ik 12 magneten maar de afstanden tussen de magneten was te klein om een puls verhouding van 50/50 te verkrijgen. Door nu 10 magneten te plaatsen is de onderlinge afstand correct. De gebruikte magneten zijn staaf magneten D2x3mm neodymium.

I'm trying to use the pagetable.com explanation of the Apple I basic tape to decode the Elektronika BK's tape. After that, the next step will be to make a tape drive emulator.

Hier zie je de signalen van de EncA, EncB en het home punt. De test opstelling draait hierbij aan 3859 tr/min. De signalen zijn mooi 90 graden onderling verschoven zoals het hoort bij een quadrature signaal.
