Taken 24/12/14; I need to check this, but I recall reading that in the very early days of this line, the station had an island platform. This was subsequently replaced by side platforms with four lines through the station, the middle lines being removed shortly after the end of steam.

I made this book bag tag for my youngest niece who has recently started nursery and wanted a book bag tag like her big sister (who has a Peppa Pig tag) as it makes it easier for her to quickly identify her bag. The tag is just under 3" square (yes, some of those pieces are tiny!) and is made from scraps of fabric, scraps of Steam-a-seam lite (my favourite fusible web) scraps of thread*, a scrap of fusible fleece and some ribbon which was left over from making her sister's 'under bed den' curtains.
*When I changed sewing machines I was left with lots of bobbins, full of thread, which I couldn't use. It was nice to use tiny bits of them today rather than searching through my thread box for colour matches. I used a white polyester thread in the bottom and put the 'useless' bobbins on the spool holder and used them for the top thread.
