One for Michael, one for his mom. It was difficult going through my end of the year exercise of selecting photos for each month. Looking at the pictures from before October 17th, thinking how life was different...how you don't really know how to gauge the value of moments and people you have around you and how you take precious things for granted...

Anyway, the year is over and I am hoping for a better 2015 than 2014, which included my mother dying and Michael's diagnosis and surgery and the gradual unfolding of the disease. We will need to adjust to a new reality, survive bad days and be happy about the good ones. And be grateful to have images to use for next year's calendar.
