Fireball Run, is the story of 40 teams as they compete in a legendary eight day, 14 cities, 2000 miles life-sized trivia pursuit game; all the while aiding to recover America’s Missing Children

The DeLorean DMC-12 (commonly referred to simply as the DeLorean as it was the only model ever produced by the company) is a sports car manufactured by John DeLorean's DeLorean Motor Company for the American market from 1981–83. The car features gull-wing doors and an innovative fiberglass chassis and underbody structure, along with a brushed stainless steel body. The car became widely known and iconic for its appearance and was modified as a time machine in the Back to the Future film trilogy. The first prototype appeared in October 1976, and production officially began in 1981 in Dunmurry, a suburb of south west Belfast, Northern Ireland (with the first DMC-12 rolling off the production line on January 21). During its production, several features of the car were changed, such as the hood style, wheels and interior. Approximately 9,000 DMC-12s were made before production halted in early 1983. The DMC-12 was the only model produced by the company, which would go into liquidation as the US car market went through its largest slump since the 1930s. In 2007, about 6,500 DeLorean Motor cars were believed still to exist. British entrepreneur Stephen Wynne, based in Texas, started a separate company in 1995 using the "DeLorean Motor Company" name and shortly thereafter acquired the trademark on the stylized "DMC" logo as well as the remaining parts inventory of the original DeLorean Motor Company. The company, at its suburban Humble, Texas location, completes newly assembled cars from new old stock (NOS) parts, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and reproduction parts on a "made to order" basis using existing vehicle identification number (VIN) plates. On January 27, 2016, the Humble, Texas location announced that production will resume and "new" DMC-12's will be rolling off the assembly line in early 2017. DMC announced that they would begin producing 300 DMC-12 models in late 2016. They are projected to cost just under $100,000.

“Oh wow Rick, the Time Machine from the movie!”

“No Morty! This, this is ingenious! Thats not a time machine, it’s a LEGO kit. A LEGO kit that WASTES time! Now grab the wheel Morty, grandpa’s had too much to drink.”

What an excellent, satisfying build!

The action features work excellently, the details are on point and all three display options look great.

Awesome addition to the upscale cars. May have to do another shoot with this thing before it gets settled into a permanent display.

Just when I thought I'd posted my contributions to "Back to the future" day, along came something totally unpredictable. Out for a walk, I happened to run into this machine last night. And there I was staring at a perfect replica of Doc Brown's time machine on October 21, 2015. What are the chances?

You can buy or rent DeLorean time machine replicas from the new DeLorean Motor Company (based in Texas), but this one isn't one of those - it was built by a customizer in California. You can rent this one - but only for parties and appearances. Excursions to 1985 are sadly unavailable at this time. The car's owner does, however, dress up like Emmett Brown for exhibitions.

Underneath it's a stock 1981 DeLorean DMC-12, but externally (and inside the cabin) it an almost exact replica of the DeLorean time machine as it appeared in "Back to the future, Part II" - which I watched again after seeing this car yesterday.

Aside from the DeLorean, I always liked the flying Citroën DS taxi that features prominently in that film (notably, a wrecked DS also appears in the alternate depiction of 1985 in that film).

Marty: "Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Doc, uh... Are you telling me that you built a time machine... out of a DeLorean?"

Doc: "Yes, the way I see it, if you're gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style? Besides, the stainless steel construction makes the flux dispersal... look out!!!"

To the geeks out there, any questions about its authenticity contact the event organisers. Don't shoot the messenger. Troll comments well be deleted at exactly 88 miles per hour!

In the Back to the Future franchise, the DeLorean time machine is a time travel device made by retrofitting a DMC DeLorean vehicle with a "flux capacitor", which allows for time travel when the car accelerates to 88 miles per hour with the necessary 1.21 gigawatts.

I built this diorama/moc to showcase LEGO's The Lone Ranger line based on the Colby City Showdown & Silver Mine Shootout sets. It is on display in Queens Center Mall in Elmhurst, Queens, NYC in the LEGO Store for the next month. Also contributing was Cody C3Brix Wells, who provided his magnificent custom Delorean Time Machine MOC as well as the idea for the diorama (combine the mine and the hiding of the delorean in BTTF3 =-) Special thanks to Phil Datz for helping me get it in the window and the store staff who stayed late to let us get it done. Hopefully one of the LUG's better photographers can get some pics for me, i just snapped these with my phone.

Luke: "Where?"

TK-Doc: "Back to the future!"

Luke: "Look, Doc, I just got home to work on power couplings with this hot redhead."

TK-Doc: "Well bring her along. This concerns her too."

Luke: "Why now? What happens to us in the future? What do we become dikuts or something?"

TK-Doc: "Oh-no-no-no, you and that redhead turn out just fine (I think). It's your kids, Luke. Something's got to be done about your kids."

TK-Doc takes Luke to the future in an effort to prevent his son Ben from falling to the dark side whims of his elder cousin Jacen. In keeping Ben safe, Luke is successful. Unfortunately, the plan is unsuccessful in stopping Jacen and he continues to fall down the dark path. If only there was someone else that could help....

from the moment i saw the final project i knew i was going to want to 'fix' the new Lego Cuuoo Back To The Future Delorean Time Machine (set #21103). After reading the reviews this week i was even more sure of it. There are several versions here and i'll go through the mods in the comments. I was able to make the roof 5 wide and get the doors to close in a satisfactory manner and be able to actually seat Marty & Doc (harder than it sounds)
