DPS Assignment: Still Life - food.
Yay! I actually managed to get light from the left.... good grief..... I was sort of getting a little concerned over my inability to capture anything from the left...
lighting here is my doorway... curtains pulled on the right.
now why does fruit always come with most of the stalks removed? one - it makes them deteriorate waay faster, and two - ugly to photograph, without the stalk I reckon.
what do you reckon?
Has been a busy day with no time for photos so when I got hungry in the evening and realised that todays theme in "Our daily challenge" was "Snack" I knew what I had to do.
Shot with ambient light plus a YoungNou YN467 snooted with a cut out black plastic bottle to get the spotlight effect (thanks Gary).
wearing: vintage I.Magnin dress from $1 sale at jetrag in hollywood; 1920's coat with fur collar from ebay; french jet necklace from some antique store; black felt 40s hat from ebay; black gloves; lizardskin bag from tamera; grandmother's handkerchief; black stockings, black heels from nine west; two different earrings because i lost the matching pairs, one amber, one french jet.
Me-made: knitted short cardigan Miette, cotton and viscose
IMO a short black cardigan is a must in any wardrobe. I'm planning a repeat of this design, because my mother wants one for herself too :)
I bought this Beam Mov-E-Lite at a thrift store for $2.50 a few months ago. I figured if nothing else it could make a cool light source for photos. Turns out it's super, crazy, insanely bright. It lights up the entire main floor of my house. I wasn't expecting to get the cool bokeh effect straight out of the camera, so, I was pleasantly surprised upon enlargement. :) Also...that is the cheapy Holga camera I bought last summer for $20. There are STILL six exposures on the first roll of film and there are three more rolls of 120 film in my camera bag. Who knows if I'll ever use it all up.

item collaboration item? socks. yep. i would never have guessed lawlz. soccer practice tonight was so much fun. hayley and i have befriended this boy named will and we have so much fun and i'm really crazy at wednesday night practice. i love it. no homework tonight. besides making a huge pile of flash cards. i don't know if i like this upload or not... i really despise my legs in all honesty. but i love these socks. these are 2 of the many pairs of soccer socks my family owns. we're a HUGE soccer family, so we have a lot of pairs of socks like these. you can see some of the little drawings i draw on my legs during class. now that i look at this i should have cropped my legs out of this more. this is almost sooc, just a little touching up in photoshop. i didn't want to ruin the bright colors of the socks! i now have a facebook fan page. the link is below. i would really like it if you guys would head on over there and click like :D i feel like this is not going to get a good reaction from flickr for some reason... just a gut feeling i suppose.

On the shelf
My 5-year-old reading books. She read them in about 4 days - she loves our Saturdays when we go to the local library and exchange books for more books :) She's Titanic obsessed at the moment, reading, watching the movie and making the sip out of bricks, boxes, drawing it... But she loves reading on top of everything so if you ask her what would she like for there birthday, she says: 'books' (she also adds 'about Titanic', but let's hope it's temporary :))
26 Days Down, 339 to go! My friend Anthony's family portraits arrived several days ago, and today was the first chance I had where we were both available. I decided to deliver them to him while he was in the office. I always enjoy visiting the SouthFloridaDines.com Gang and figure why not make it official and use Anthony as Day 26. I had texted him asking him if he still had his grizzly beard growing. He returned with "I haven't shaved in months". We have that in common. After getting the thumbs up I loaded up the car with what gear I did have, and made my way to my brother Shawn's job and collected the remainder of the necessary gear from my car which Shawn uses when I have no where to be. I was talking to a client on the phone, due to my total inability to multitask I barely said a word to Shawn as I collected 2 C-stands, a sandbag and a softbox from the trunk of the car. In the middle of talking to the client the hands free set got caught on my c-stand and I ripped them out of my ears. Lets just say that never feels good... read more

AB800 Beauty Dish Boomed over head approx. 2 feet from subjects head. Dish was tilted toward subject set at 1/8th power.

Be Your Own Beloved Selfies - Day 26 - My self-love journey. My hope is that I eventually come to a place that I am so accepting of, and at-home in, my body that I no longer react from a place of judgement, but rather see my heart, spirit and beauty each time that I see a photo or look in the mirror. This class has been such a joy, and truly eye-opening - I am certain that taking self-portraits as a way to show up for myself is essential to me finding deep healing.
PS. Thank you everyone who loves the flag .... I just made it this morning while drinking coffee. It was so much fun to parade around the park with it - and I encourage everyone to make & fly their own flag of love!!

或許是這裡魚貨供應穩定
常常有魚可以吃
所以這裡常常有魚的料理
我也是第一次喝到這種湯
很特別
還有今天的午餐紅糟肉
紅糟是紅麴酒發酵後
榨去酒液經過篩濾後所剩下的酒糟
在馬祖
居民會用釀製老酒產生的紅糟作料理之用
紅糟的食品真的都不錯吃
有機會來這裡可以吃吃看。
In the DAY 26 (16/08/2017) I did a trip near Passo Rolle, in particular I reached a hut called Malga Juribello. There, the landscapes (mountains and valleys) were totally amazing, even if has been a totally cloudy day.
