A sysadmin never likes to be hot. So, the managers of top-of-the-line server farms will always install a few thousand air conditioning units in the ground, holding the temperature in the clean room around a pleasant 45 degrees Farenheit.

This is the networking cabinet in BitPusher's new Seattle datacenter. Every cabinet has two HP2848 switches for redundancy that each plug into one of our Cisco 6506's via Fiber. Blue cables are for our left network, Green are for our right. Black are for management gear like Loms.

At one of our datacenters these posts stand sentry protecting agains the possibility of rogue cars driving through the wall... The location of this datacenter is under the flight path of a heavily used airfield. Here's hoping that there are yellow posts on the roof as well...
