I took several photos of this beautiful dappled sky and calm sea at Mudeford Quay in January 2017

Snowdrops in my garden before the snow came.

This Yellow Warbler popped out late afternoon at the fountain. As the wind blew the leaves of the overhead trees, he went from full sun blown out yellow to this dappled shade pose.

Looking north towards Calstone and then Calne from Morgan's Hill on a dappled day. it was very, very, windy up there at this point.

Both the light and this superb fairy wren’s breeding feathers coming in.

One of 3 little owlets from this years bunch.

I was lucky to get this shot, as I took my camera... more specifically, my macro lens, out on a windy day ‍♀️ I mean, I knew better but.... patience is a virtue! On another note, it’s Thursday - tomorrow is Friday!!

Believe me, it doesn't look anything like this around here anymore. In fact, it looks pretty bleak for the most part. Snow will help of course, but it brings its own issues.

Harrison Stickle from Blea Tarn, Langdal. The Lake District.

on the last of my Peonies

Gliding in and out of the dappled shade before descending from the open canopy of Bentley Wood like a precious but transient piece of gold leaf confetti, this early Silver-washed Fritillary finally settled revealing both the beautiful markings and delicate water-washed colouring of its underwings as well as the magnificent gold of its large upperwings accentuated here by the males four bold black sex brands on the veins of each forewing.

Another look at part of the dappled sky during a sunset that was happening behind my back.

I was have a good wander around the forest, you know it’s good when you get yourself lost. As for photography, it was not looking . Walking through an overgrow trail (which I could never find again) and looking very dark on my flanks, I spied this little scene of dappled light.
