I remember reading once, a chap, who I believe was from the far east said "Whenever westerners don't understand something, they call it Zen."
I don't understand anything about Zen but I imagine it to represent something like this. A simple image, yet appealing and thought provoking, and one that makes you want to look further into it than the initial impression is insufficiently able to satisfy.
This was taken whilst sitting in an hide at Minsmere reserve with nothing much happening birdwise. My mind tends to wander, and I look at the mundane in a different light - and this is a result....
I find it more appealing viewed full size - that seems to emphasise the subtle attraction.....
I think this is a Hydrangea.. I photographed the underside of the petals, which looked as if they had just been painted.
Gulls can be extremely harsh in bight sunlight and difficult to expose. This one was standing in dappled shade and made a much softer subject
Some images always retain a special feel or mood and those are the ones that I share. Having some fun visiting the archives. Hopefully your week is going well.
These white chairs were under a tree at an outdoor wedding and I loved the way they were dappled by the dark shadows and bright sunlight
Its very slow on Flickr at present!! Its the new group restrictions that have stopped a lot of people bothering to put there photos in groups or look at and fave other peoples pics. Its dreadful!!
Spending too much wasted time on here now!I dont want to desert my wondeful friends on here but I dont know what the answer is.We must fave one anothers photos as much as possble to keep the interest going or it will die!

Taken on a lovely walk through Little Dowards woods in the Wye Valley. I love this place and have been lucky to visit many times. Can't wait to get back there again.

A woman sits reading in the shade of these magnificent old trees in Launceston's Prince's Square. This is the city's oldest public park.
I love the opportunity these trees provide with Infra Red in showing the distinct contrast between the light foliage and the dark branches.
These falls are on a walk we have done at least 4 times and never knew they existed :-)) I was amazed at what I found by following a small stream up into the woods
