Dante's View is a viewpoint terrace at 5,475 feet (1,669 meters) height, on the north side overlooking Death Valley.

Happy Earth Day everybody! Love this earth we live on.

I wish I could blend a great cloud photo with this picture in Photoshop. :-)

Anyways, it was a great experience to view this. HD video will follow. See map.

Notes:

-I took this pic right at noon. There were not clouds. It was a hazy day which I did not expect.

-Processed with Photomatix Pro, 4 SOOC photos. Resized with Photoshop.

-I used one circular polarizer filter and one COKIN graduated neutral density filter.

- This location is only a two hours drive from Las Vegas and 5 hours from LA.

I re-retouched Dante's eyes, using a lighter (and also metallic) green, it shows much better without being too *green*... I'm pleased with it.
