Waterfront Retreat - "Dancing Point" - Charles City, Virginia
"Dancing Point" is a spectacular 146 acre riverfront estate located on a dramatic point of land where the Chickahominy and James Rivers meet. The property includes one and a half miles of water frontage and a stunning house built in 1973 with expansive views and outdoor access from each beautifully proportioned room. The Fingernail Dance is performed on special occasions such as the welcoming of guests or important events in Buddhism. The movements of the dance imitate elephants walking, which in days of old were considered to be valuable animals of higher class.

Cei cinci artisti dansatori ai Battery Dance Company au lucrat cu adolescenti si tineri din Bucuresti pentru a crea numere de coregrafie puse apoi in scena la Sala Mare a Palatului National al Copiilor. I took Josh and Anthony out in the early morning rising sun in Williams, AZ for a little photo shoot - they gave me some funky dancing while I was playing around with high-speed synch on my flash. I got a nice backlit halo effect from the sun behind them.

This lovely woman is a representative of the state of Hidalgo. She was a guest of great honor at the gathering in Santa Catarina, and I am sorry not to know her name. She was instrumental in providing the materials for the women of the community to make their embroidered textiles. When she arrived a bit late, the women presented her with the flowered staff and performed a special dance just for (and with) her.
