Palm Trees, Blue Skies, and the Flight of Routine
🌴✈️
Each day began with the same promise: clear skies, warm air, and the slow walk toward the beach park. The kids knew the way by heart, racing ahead with towels flapping like flags of freedom. Parents followed with sunscreen and snacks, already picturing the shade beneath the palms and the laughter echoing off the water.
Above, a plane traced the sky—someone arriving, someone leaving—but down below, time moved differently. The routine became sacred: swim, snack, nap, repeat. And in that rhythm, the family found something rare. Not just relaxation, but connection.
Months later, when the calendar fills and the pace quickens, this memory returns. The sound of waves, the rustle of palm fronds, the feeling of being exactly where they were meant to be. Because paradise isn’t just a place—it’s a pattern, shared and remembered.

this monochromatic scene whispers a tale of simple joys amidst the grand narrative of the city. a young boy, seated on the curb of aix-en-provence's storied streets, finds a universe in the spirals of his ice cream. around him, the city breathes in the routine of daily life, unaware of the profound moment unfolding in its midst. as light carves through the alleyways, it spotlights the child, his delight casting a shadow long enough to blend with the cobblestones, telling of timeless pleasures in the transient afternoon.
in the subterranean pulse of passeig de gràcia, life moves to the rhythm of coming and going. the motion blur of a mother's stride, a stroller in tow, tells of daily journeys taken beneath the city's skin. with each train's arrival, a gust of wind; with each departure, a story sweeps past the platform. this frame, a fleeting intersection of lives in transit, is but a brushstroke in the mural of urban existence. it's here in the blur, the journey becomes the destination—each step a silent note in the symphony of the mundane.
Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi, India
Chandni Chowk (Hindi: चांदनी चौक, Urdu: چاندنی چوک), originally meaning "moonlit square" or "moonlit market", is one of the oldest and busiest markets in Old Delhi, now in central north Delhi, India. Built in the 17th century by the Mughal emperor of India Shah Jahan, and designed by his daughter Jahan Ara, the market was once divided by canals (now closed) to reflect moonlight, and it remains one of India's largest wholesale markets.
on a brisk winter day at hannover airport, life unfolds in a symphony of movement and pause. one man strides purposefully, phone pressed to his ear, caught in the swift current of travel. nearby, another stands still, savoring a cigarette, a solitary figure against the backdrop of an airport in constant motion. their parallel stories—a vivid portrayal of modern transit—reflect the contrasting rhythms of life's journey.

My first job working in an electrical shop in Southgate North London. The shop was called Lewis Radio and it was a great introduction into adult working life. The lovely shop in Fore Street reminds me of those happy day and the money allowing me to spend on photography.
just a stone's throw from the piazza del duomo in milan, the weekend morning light casts a gentle glow on a passerby. wrapped in a dress of vibrant swirls that echo the lively spirit of the city, she pairs it effortlessly with a bold, sun-yellow tote. her gaze, fixed on the phone in hand, is a modern connection woven into the tapestry of a historic sunday morning. amidst the grandeur of milan’s architectural treasures, life unfolds in the simple act of reading a message, a quiet contrast to the vast stories etched in the stone of the cathedral nearby.
On the way to the stilt house villages near Siem Reap, we learned about Tonlé Sap Lake—Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake. What makes it special is how it changes with the seasons. In the rainy season, it swells to nearly five times its size; in the dry season, it shrinks, even reversing its flow. Life here adapts to the water. Houses stand on stilts, boats serve as sidewalks, and floating markets sell everything from fresh food to daily essentials.

Choices and Daily Rituals
Story:
I see them daily, following the same routine, saying the same things, and living the same day repeatedly. They take identical pictures and check their reflections on every surface. The world is vast, full of opportunities and choices, but they, like me, wear dark glasses as they go through life. I wish I could shake myself and realise the chances I'm missing, but I'm in a trance, convinced that this narrow path is all there is. Existence keeps moving on, and it pains me that I can't see past the capital waste. We could achieve so much if we didn't sit on the fence and merely comment on each other. But here I am, watching this play with the spectators, where the power to change the script is on the tip of our tongues, yet we decide not to say it.
Description:
Dive into the profound narrative of life in repetition, where each day mirrors the last. This exploration goes beyond the surface, questioning the comfort of routine and the opportunities that whisper for attention. It's a call to recognise the vastness of life's stage and our power to change the script that shapes our existence.
