“Macro Mondays” and “My Daily Routine” Every morning I comb hair and I often find white hair :-)

1950 International Harvester truck, still at work every day.

For years this was a local hi-fi shop but since that time it has been empty.

Out for the daily walk to get a breather I pass this weathered warning on a metal grate. This past week I took a shot of it each time. Today the lighting made it stand out a bit more.

Daily Dog Challenge: Begins with J ... Jumper or perhaps jaundice😳

The Vets used a Diamond Burr to debride the ulcer on Etta's eye. It has been having treatment for almost 3 months so hopefully this will be the end of it! Etta loves the Vets but we could just visit for treats not for treatment!

The yellow dye is to make the ulcer more visible.

Every morning I walked through Grantown-On-Spey I saw this lady walking her dog.

African elephants (Loxodonta africana), range throughout the savannahs of sub-Saharan Africa and the rainforests of central and West Africa.

Elephants are matriarchal, meaning they live in female-led groups. The matriarch is usually the biggest and oldest. She presides over a multi-generational herd that includes other females, called cows, and their young. Adult males, called bulls, tend to roam on their own, sometimes forming smaller, more loosely associated all-male groups.

Having a baby elephant is a serious commitment. Elephants have a longer pregnancy than any other mammal - almost 22 months. Cows usually give birth to one calf every two to four years. At birth, elephants already weigh some 200 pounds and stand about three feet tall.

This beautiful scene of Elephants grazing in the early morning light with Mt. Kilimanjaro as the backdrop was photographed on a game drive in Amboseli National Park, Kenya.

This is the first nationally designated architectural preservation site in Japan.

When I first started my job; as an English language teacher in China, I was surprised when the classrooms had blackboards instead of whiteboards.

Using chalk has certainly become a part of my life that I never expected.

Day labor is work done where the worker is hired and paid one day at a time, with no promise that more work will be available in the future. It is a form of contingent work.
