Smithfield Meat Market, City of London. The historic market has been on this site since 1327, but its days are numbered. This and Billingsgate Fish Market, currently based in Poplar, were originally proposed to move to Dagenham but it may be that they will close altogether. This site, which sits between Farringdon and Barbican in The City of London, is to largely become the new City of London Museum.

Blick von der Wegelnburg bei Nothweiler hinüber zur Ruine Hohenburg. Vor 800 Jahren muss eine wirklich wilde Zeit gewesen sein, denn auffällig ist, dass die meisten Burgen in dieser Zeit errichtet wurden. So wurde auch diese Burganlage errichtet, wie die meisten hier auf einem natürlichen Felsen. Als Bauherr wird Gottfried Puller von Fleckenstein vermutet. Obwohl die 4 Burgen Wegelnburg, Hohenburg, Fleckenstein und Löwenstein (die wir alle heute erwandern) allesamt nur ein paar hundert Meter voneinander entfernt liegen, gab es Ende des 13. Jahrhunderts heftige, bewaffnete Auseinandersetzungen unter den jeweiligen Besitzern, die jeweils mit Eroberungen/Rückeroberungen der Burgen einher gingen. Diese (teilweise auch halbwegs friedlichen) Besitzwechsel gingen dann so im Prinzip bis zum 30-jährigen Krieg, in dem die meisten Burgen durch schwedische Truppen endgültig zerstört wurden. Die Hohenburg überdauerte diesen zum Teil auch als 1. Weltkrieg bezeichneten 30-jährigen Horror-Krieg noch eine Weile, wurde dann aber 1680 endgültig und vollständig zerstört. Seitdem (mit einigen allseits bekannten Unterbrechungen) befindet sie sich nun in französischem Besitz.

Muchas veces no tiene porque caer mucha cantidad de agua por el torrente para que la foto sea visualmente atractiva.
