Working on Pullip convention items this week! First up, the Summer dress. This is the 4th time I'm remaking this dress, the first 3 times were Autumn, Spring, and then Winter colorways, so this dress will complete the set.
Lots of things to do. It's always hard figuring out what to make for Puddle, because there are too many doll body sizes. 😵
For stock Pullips, you have 5 different bodies: the Pullip, Dal, Isul, Taeyang, and Yeolume bodies, all of which are vastly different measurements.
But it doesn't stop there!
Pullip has 4 body types depending on the year of release, and the most common is Type 4. However, Type 4 is the skinniest so if you make something specifically for that body, it won't fit many of the dolls at the convention.
But nope, the problems don't stop there either!
I would say about half the people at the convention rebody their dolls. They use various Obitsu 27 or Barbie bodies for the Pullips, Obitsu 21/23 or Azone S for the Dals, and Azone XS for the Yeolumes. Comparing an Obitsu27 to a stock Pullip body.... they are vastly different!
As you can see, It's really difficult for me to decide which sizes to make every year. Some years I made Pullip specific dresses, but so many Pullips were rebodied that it didn't fit them. So my solution so far.... is to make everything Blythe sized!! It might be a little loose on stock Pullip and Dals, but at least it fits most 1:6 dolls including Obitsu and Momokos. 😂
.
(but actually my real secret is to make sure most the Blythe things I make... fit Kikipop!! 😎)
It's been a month now since my mother passed away and obviously it has been a difficult time for me. I loved her a lot, so emotionally and mentally it has been tough. Also in her last months I needed to give my mother really a lot of care, so also physically I was drained and needed to recover.
I gave myself time to mourn and cope with the sadness, yet also life goes on. Losing someone always makes me realize even more that life is finite, and that you should try to make the most of it while you can. My passion in life is to wear pretty dresses and to feel feminine; that makes me truly happy and it also helps me heal now. It's good to get the dresses out of the closets again, to enjoy their colorful beauty, to put on a nice dress and to return as happy girly Paula. Surely my mom would love to see me smile again.
I'm back from my holiday and it was awesome! this week I'll upload some photos from my vacation, first I have to solve some computerproblems.
From now on I'll be active everyday and comment on your photos, I'm glad I finally have time enough for that, so I won't rush everything !

I really love this dress, I found it in a store where were so many beautiful dresses and clothes, but everything was really expensive, so I didn't buy this dress, but I'm still in love with her.

I noted a request to see the pink dress hanging at the side of my last pic and I'm happy to oblige. That was the whole point of my visit, after all.
So here it is - a close fitting sleeveless dress in a pretty pink flower pattern, with a lovely cowl neckline. It will be perfect for a special summer occasion, such as a wedding. If this girl is invited to any weddings, this dress is the one! The only thing is, I cannot wear these black boots with it so now I must seek a pair of pink strappy sandals (and a wedding invitation, obviously).
It was a delight to shimmy into this tight dress, with the extra excitement of stripping off all my coat, skirt and top behind nothing more than a short curtain.
Me in a nice silk summer dress with matching scarf which i found on ebay.

This is the ensemble I wore out to a very special dinner I attended while at this year's Keystone Transgender Conference held in Harrisburg, PA. The restaurant we went to was called Rubicon and it had a wonderful view of the Capitol Building that was just across the street! We had a great time at the Rubicon and the staff was outstanding and very welcoming!
My ensemble for the evening is based on this awesomely curve hugging black asymmetrical tulip hemmed long sleeve lycra spandex minidress from greatglam.com, matched up with my super shiny black Platino Clean Cut 15 denier pantyhose from shapings.com worn over Hanes Alive Barely There support hose from onehanesplace.com and my patent & lace peep toe platform ankle booties with their 5" heels from sexyshoes.com.

Once you're onboard the ship and settled dress codes go out the door. Sure, you'll wear your best for the Formal NIght Dinner but for cruising around the ship pretty much anything goes.
This gentleman, who looks like a friend of ours, is relaxed and comfortable, ready to enjoy a holiday at sea.

This is one of the cookies from my entry this year for the 2009 Capital Confectioner's Sugar Art Show in Austin, Texas. The set placed 1st in my division.
Modeling this gorgeous red dress given to me by my lovely sister, Alana. As you can see, I took a lot of influence from her and maybe even stole some of her looks.

The third new dress I bought was a Laura Ashley polka dot design which like the others fitted perfectly. I like this because of the neat tailoring and the feel as it sits nicely on me. It is slightly stretchy and fits perfectly. It’s sad that The company no longer trades, Laura Ashley dresses were iconic in the 1970’s, there is talk of the brand being online only but thats’s up to the administrators.

Here is the second dress. It will only fit Pullip type 4 bodies because it's just that fitted. I think it looks nice on the doll, I worked hard retweaking the pattern a million times to get a bodice that would be simple and quick to construct, yet also still look elegant. And yes, the lace is sparkly!!!! I hope you like it! 😊
