Dopravní podnik Ostrava a.s. (DPO): the tramways 1331 and another of the same series (Pragoimex Vario LF.R) departs from the main railway station terminal.
Recorded working a DPO Line 4 service in Ostrava, this Inekon TRIO unit (1252) carries the LEO Express branding. Unlike the Stadler FLIRT version that also serves Ostrava, there is no A/C and only one class of travel.

While in other countries high-floor buses disappeared from public transport more than 10 years ago, in the Czech Republic we can still meet them, for example, there are still 22 Karosa buses in Brno.
However, last day of regular operation of Karosas in Ostrava was November 7, 2020. In the photo we see the articulated Karosa B941E.1962 on the penultimate day of operation. Concrete bus #4285 was then reassigned to museum collections.

Zatímco v jiných zemích zmizely vysokopodlažní autobusy z MHD před více než 10 lety, v Česku se stále s nimi můžeme setkat, například v Brně jezdí ještě 22 vozů Karosa.
V Ostravě už ale dojezdily, a to 7.11.2020. Na fotce vidíme kloubovou Karosu B941E.1962 v předposlední den provozu. Konkrétní kus #4285 byl poté přeřazen do muzejních sbírek.

DPO Tatra KT8D5.RN1 tram unit 1512 arrives at Ostrava, Horymírova while working a Line 2 service to Hlavní nádraží [Ostrava Central station]. This class of 16 units dates back to the late 1980s and were rebuilt from KT8D5 units between 2003-11 with the low-floor centre setion being added.

Supplied in kit form by the Rickman brothers (Dereck + Don) of New Milton, Hampshire. Who had both won International fame as Motorcycle racers in the 1950's and 1960's and had become equally successful manufacturers of Motor Cycle frames. and accessories, before moving on to kit car production., firstly on behalf of other South Coast manufacturers, before developing their own vehicles from 1988.
Their first models were the Ranger Saloon a Suzuki based vehicle, followed by a Convertible and their Space Ranger.which in tern developed into a two berth motorhome, the Rancher.
In 1991 they sold the company to a Russian conglomerate, keen to go into serious mass production in the Soviet Union. However this did make muck progress and Don and Dereck repurchased what remained of the business, only to sell it on to West Midlands based, Lomax. Production continued in Lye, West Midlands into 2001, before Lomax sold the rights to the Rickman Car Owners Club.
This car was first registered in 1993, and purchased from the original ower by the present owners in 2000, with all four corners damaged, it was subsequently restored and upgraded to Highline specification
