Made sure to also give the old 7D a good workout while testing the EOS-R. I will say that the image quality I was able to get from this was almost identical to shooting in Crop Mode on the EOS-R5.
I know the 7D mkII has a few more pixels (20 vs 17) but it does not have the low-pass AA filter of the R5.
I'll continue to review and revisit and compare but as I stated in the previously posted images of the EOS-R from the same event, quality glass is what is making the difference.
