Some of you already know this - but my Blythe darlings live in a tall, Art Deco cabinet that has glass doors - we call it BlytheTowers.
Well BlytheTowers is in our 'living room' the main room of our house, where we spend a great deal of our time. So we are 'under dolly observation' quite a bit.
And here are Maddie and Edina in their room - discussing just how strange we people are.

ok, I just realised something. all the dolls I've been selling lately are pretty much already ear marked the wedding, so I don't have too much to donate or offer all these amazing charities taking place in the Blythe community these days, but if I let go of one more doll, I'd have more moneys for this purpose!

Holiday in Norfolk.
Walk at Burnham Overy Staithe.
What a pretty boat. Very evocative of Arthur Ransome! Could almost be Swallow, but Dolly suits her well.
Dolly Sods Wilderness, West Virginia. There are two side of Dolly Sods Wilderness and they are completely different. On the east side slopes in lower altitude, there is forest and when in fall it turns to a display of spectrum of colors from orange to yellow and green. On the west side plateau with higher altitude, there are full of bushes and they turns to a red blanket which you don't often see elsewhere. Such an impressive place to visit.
Dolly frequents the docks in Somewhereville where the sailors come in. She's been waiting twenty five years for her lost love "Stormy" Sean O’Malley to return. "Stormy" Sean is a grizzled old sea dog with a scar across his cheek, known for surviving three shipwrecks, and Dolly loves him passionately. Apparently, he didn't survive shipwreck number four.

8 minutes of exposure to smooth out the pretty sunrise sky taken atop the Dolly Sods area in West Virginia.
I have had most of this stuff for years, in boxes, in my son's closet. I am sure he's happy that I got some of it out (there's more, still in boxes). I don't know what made me take a notion to do this today but here it is, and now all the stuff I displaced will have to be relocated, most of it is in the floor as I type.
I am not even sure why I did it since NO WAY are my dolls going to cook or clean up after themselves... ;)

It took so long to arrive because I wasn't home when it was delivered, then the redelivery didn't work so I waited two days to no avail, and then when the redelivery was finally scheduled it was a pesky bank holiday.. but oh, was it worth the wait.
All these dresses are by the amazing Tirin N Katten. They were made to go on my special mascot doll for my Millinery and Jewellery business and were made with accents of my logo colour.
I am so proud to have such talented friends. ♥

My dad built it and my mom painted it for me when I was a baby, so it's very special. I pulled it down from the attic and whaddaya know? It suits my dolls and dioramas (perpetually unfinished as the latter may be) SO well!
The ever enterprising Dolly Parton has a new income stream because well she’s Dolly. The line is carried by Dollar General so the price points are low. I guess this means you can now bake a Dolly Parton cake mix and serve it on a Dolly Parton plate.
Recently she has been attacked by the usual cold hearted radical Republicans for the great sin of being inclusive and generally kind but it doesn’t seem to phase her or her fans. Kindness is part of the brand.
While staying at the Countryside RV Resort in Apache Junction, Arizona, we drove up SR88 to the Canyon Lake Marina & Campground where we went on a 90 minute cruise on the Dolly Steamboat, a replica of a classic American sternwheeler. (15-03-07-2363-64)
The cruise took us along a secluded inner waterway, accessible only by boat, during which the captain shared some history of the Apache Trail and Canyon Lake, the flora and fauna of the lower Sonoran Desert, and the legend and lore of the Superstition Mountains and the Lost Dutchman's Gold.
It was both delightful and beautiful.
