Fusta DM
DM (densitat mitjana) o MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard):
Fabricat a partir d’elements fibrosos bà sics de fusta, normalment de pi, aglutinats amb resines sintètiques mitjançant una forta pressió i calor, en sec, fins arribar a una densitat mitja.
Qualitats:
-Estructura uniforme i homogènia i una textura fina.
-Es treballa prà cticament igual que la fusta massissa.
-Estabilitat dimensional òptima.
-Pes molt elevat.
-Compatible per pintar o envernissar.
-S’encola amb facilitat.
-Color marró
-Material de baix cost.
-No és apte per l’exterior ni condicions d’humitat.
Usos:
-Bà sicament s’utilitza en la indústria del moble:
Per construir mobles en el que el pes no suposi un problema.
Excel•lent per taules de treball.
-Pocs usos en l’arquitectura:
Per a fusteries interiors
Per parquets revestits de fusta de més qualitat.
