Dave trying to charm the tiny little blonde hobbit who always seem to be front row into becoming a Dave-slave instead of a Gore-whore by smiling and posing for the camera. Nice try, mister.
This is a Martin Model DM from the Martin road Series, manufactured in 97'. I'm the only owner and have loved it. It has a natural satin finish, with a spruce top and mahagony back and sides. The fret board is Indian Rosewood, 25 3/8 scale length and 20 frets.
This guitar has some normal wear look at the flickr album, but is in fantastic shape and is from a smoke free home.
The DM features laminated genuine mahogany back and sides with a solid spruce top, single band herringbone rosette, and a durable satin finish. Carefully hand-selected tonewoods, master craftsmanship and beautiful finishes and styles make Martin acoustics a class all their own, and must be played to be believed.
I have loved the sound. I had the action just slightly lowered (professionally lowered by the shop I bought it from) so it was easier to play, resulting in an easy and fantastic sound, bright high tones and deep lovely bassy tones as well. GREAT for strumming AND finger picking.

It´s done even if the summit belongs to the Biosphere reserve Rhön, but that status doesn´t protect against everything - and quarries are not judged by environmental laws in the same way as most other human interventions in nature. But when a mining company is ready - after years or decades - it has to (and does) recultivate the area.
The works happened at some distance from my "shack" but the regular blastings could compete with S9-signals ;-)
