Commander's log, date 05.01.2735:
Today my team suffered a tragic loss. We had come across an underground pond, and Jim volunteered to take a dive and see if he could find any fish. I was talking to Dale when a mass of air bubbles surfaced. We stopped talking and stared intently at the pond, only to see it turn a deep, dark red. Jim was dead. Dale and I had a meal, paid respects to our fallen comrade, and picked up his gear and moved on. But now, I suppose you've probably heard enough of the tragedy that has befallen us. So I will first tell you the good news that we received today: a team on the surface had successfully raided an EME lab and made off with DM Warbot plans. The Warbots have proved to be reliable for the DM, so I think we will benefit greatly from the plans. And here is a bit about the cave: for some strange reason, there seems to be more snow on the cave walls now than there was before. I'm still not getting good vibes about this cave. However, I no longer have the feeling that the cave is "alive." Instead, it almost seems like an inhabitant decorated the place with snow. Well, maybe tomorrow will shine light upon our dire situation. If it does, we can only hope that the fate that befalls us is not such a horrid one as the one that befell Jim.
