Experimenting with the DIY 10x8 - This one used a ~9mm cardboard waterhouse stop in the lens.

Sapele close up. Look at that wavy grain ^_^

My buddy and I went shooting on some old property after Christmas. It was cold. Very cold. And windy. Very windy. A bad combination (a Kansas combination) - causing my fingers to feel like they'd been bashed by a hammer, and my nose to feel...well, nothing at all.

first two attempts at using my large ammo box camera. going to try a smaller fstop, and then perhaps a day and a half.

Omniscope bottom half with film holders fitted after I decided to add a cut out to aid loading the film.

First two rolls with the Lomography Konstruktor. Fun camera, just need to play with the film transport, it tends to tear the sprockets and the shots are really far apart or bunch up together.

Test of my handmade 35mm pinhole camera.

The film is held in place with three guides, two sides and a top, made from plastic sheet built up in layers.

The guy who gave me the block of teak also gave me two planks of what he assures me is mahogany (bottom) with a strip of sapele on the top. Not sure what type of mahogany - but it is very old and very nice looking. It must wait until my woodworking skills have advanced a bit.

The light trap is too tight, note the scratches on the dark slide.

Note also the chunck split off the corner following some clumsy routing (Always use a scrap 'break out' piece!!!)

Lomography Konstructor camera testroll

The red rectangle is 14x36 inches exactly. This was at infinity and was at f14 or the widest aperture my APO-Ronar-CL 1070mm will work at. After doing this test back in December of 2022 the project was a go. I had to do this test because the documentation that is available for this lens had it at 780mm image circle. 981mm was the minimum I needed for 14x36 to work. I didn’t have anything larger to test where it ends. My guess is 1.5 meters or so. I believe at 1:1 it has an image Circle 1.5 meters in the documents but I’m guessing it’s more like two meters. This lens might even cover 40x80 lol jk. But wouldn’t that be sweet?
