Late afternoon scuba dive at Harbord, near Freshwater which is on Sydney's North Shore.
Was perfect conditions with great vis - we saw a large southern eagle ray, wobbegong shark and a school of kingfish.

This bird flew by a number of times, assumed the diving position a few times, but did not splash down nearby until just before sunset. This dive happened early in the afternoon, but the Osprey aborted the attempt and flew off across the lake.

This series of the Caspian Tern locking on, diving and shaking is probably one of the most technically difficult things I've shot.
I watched this guy diving repeatedly for as long as I could, hoping he might come up with a fish. He came up emty-handed but I think he left me some nice opportunities.

Out on our Peninsula there are a few spots you find kingfishers. Mostly they sit doing nothing it seems but suddenly they spot something to eat and make a dive. The photographer's problem is staying awake waiting for this to happen :) A little copy and paste went on here.
