The water was really chilled. I returned 4 times with no courage to take a dip. But was compelled to go and was not allowed to run away. Anyways once you take a dip the chill sensation is all gone and you began to like the water.
This is a soft vanilla ice cream dipped in a thick layer of maple sugar. For those of you who don't know what maple sugar is, here's a short explanation.
Maple butter, also known as maple cream or maple spread, is a confection that is made from maple syrup, by cooking the syrup to 112 °C (233 °F), cooling it to 4 °C (40 °F) then raising it to 15 °C (60 °F), and stirring it until it reaches a smooth consistency., and is a light tan color. A gallon of syrup can make about three kilograms of maple cream. (about 8 lb per gallon).
The kids and I made "mysterious dipping sauce" for dinner. We had tofu, green beans (from our garden), snap peas, broccoli and carrots to dip. With a side of rice, of course.

chocolate dipped strawberries. For i lb strawberries melt 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips with 1 Tablespoon shortening. I did it in the microwave, but it can be done with double boiler. Put toothpicks in the end of strawberries and dip in melted chocolate. Place on wax paper and let set in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Very Easy!

My partner and I decided to try out the local Indian Resturant, I really enjoyed this sweet dip. We have both been for our CBT test today...congrats to my partner...yes I failed :(

I wait every year for two things. One is the Easter Cadbury Cream Eggs. And second is my yearly sugar overdose from eating candy Peeps. This year this have a new item. Peeps dipped in chocolate. Sorry, but they just look nasty to me. They look like peeps sitting in a pile of poop . And the chocolate is really that thin waxy cheap chocolate. But I still ate. them.

Whole grain crispy crackers (33 cals each!) made quickly in a pizzelle maker, served with a yummy, creamy low-fat vegan artichoke and spinach (or kale) dip.
i hope your canada day weekend was restful and fun. we spent this afternoon on christie lake, boating and then swimming just off of a secluded island. the kids are looking forward to spending the next two weeks at babcia and dziadzia's without us. i think they will have a blast.
