When one decides to move to the countryside in Hungary after 2 months leaving in Budapest, well, you really don't know what to expect. But what I really didn't expect was to take care of a stray dog.
His owner died some months ago and no one decided to take the responsibility. He was "everyone's" dog. When we arrived to Hollókő at the end of March, a **** hotel next to Kréativ Tér was feeding him, but after some time, the employer asked the workers to stop doing it. By then we already named him Dió (wallnut in Hungarian).
I started feeding him, buying some food and treats and tried to train him. He is a shadow always ready to play with a stick or a ball or to go for a walk (or even run!).
We are hoping someone will adopt him and maybe the orders he answers to will help him. Last week, one of the workers in the small market of the village asked for him, she looks interested.
Piano is now on "casters" (i.e. tiny jewellery box cabinet knobs). I am pretty happy with this little detail!
Also, after MANY failed attempts, I finally got the TV to have a working light inside! It involved taking apart a puck light, and drilling a hole in the back for the cord. I still need to cover the rest of the hole (and seal the inside) with black electrical tape, so it stops shining out of the cracks where the plastic pieces fit together. But omg you guys, this has been a struggle FOREVER. Alas, it's also REALLY difficult to photograph. But hopefully you get the idea!
Speaking of lighting, I also FINALLY found the fourth IKEA dioder light strip, which is now set up over the piano. I want to get another set at some point, but for now, I'm pretty happy!
Well this is alittle snap shot that I think came out pretty good, so by just this picture can you guess what or where this is at?

Xochimilco tiene numerosas iglesias y capillas, como esta llamada El Rosario Nepantlatlaca y ubicada frente al gran mercado municipal.

“Dios y Patria”
Es una colección especial de fotografías realizadas en su totalidad por parte del artista y fotógrafo colombiano Germán Gaviria Mesa en homenaje especial a todos y cada uno de los miembros de la Policía Nacional de Colombia y a la memoria de héroes de nuestra patria, que como en el caso de, el Coronel Edgar Yesid Duarte, El mayor Elkin Hernández Rivas y el Subintendente Álvaro Moreno, todos ellos miembros de la institución, han dado su vida en cumplimiento de su labor y en calidad de valientes policías de nuestra amada Colombia.
En esta obra, el artista ha aplicado la técnica fotográfica y artística que lo ha dado a conocer como uno de los más importantes dentro de su género, logrando con ellos la conformación de una colección de hermosas e inigualables imágenes por medio de las cuales logra resaltar el valor, la honorabilidad, el sacrificio, la entrega y los reales valores con los que cuentan los miembros de la Policía Nacional de Colombia.
A lo largo de la obra, se puede apreciar como el artista fue, de manera cuidadosa y genial, incluyendo en las imágenes logradas diferentes elementos que se hacen repetidamente presentes en cada una de ellas; elementos que tienen un sentido y una razón dentro de la creación artística “Dios y patria” como ejemplo: La Madera, que representa la nobleza y firmeza del policía. Los cielos, que representan a Dios y a la grandeza de la institución. Las aves que representan en muchos de los casos las almas y vidas liberadas y por ende la libertad. La tierra, que representa a la Patria. Las Plantas que representan la vida y la esperanza, entre tantos otros elementos que tienen un sentido dado por el artista y que muy por el contrario no fueron utilizados por su creador de manera simplemente caprichosa.
“Dios y Patria”, se consolida hoy como la única y primera obra fotográfica realizada y producida bajo estas complejas y hermosas técnicas muy particulares del artista, en la historia de la Policía Nacional de Colombia.
