Talvolta risulta assai difficile immaginare come i semi di un albero abbiano potuto raggiungere certi luoghi o certi ambienti estremi. Sarà stato il vento? Sarà stata una nocciolaia esploratrice delle pareti? Eppure l'albero è li, piantato solidamente sulla roccia, fiero, indomito, a sfidare le bufere dell'inverno e i fulmini dell'estate. Come un dio, che canta la canzone senza tempo della vita vincente ..... ..
Although it was not far away, this Broad-billed Motmot was perched quietly among vegetation (typical of members of the family) and it was by seeing the characteristic side-to-side movement of the tail that I located it. This individual was on the grounds of the Los Amigos Biological Station on the Rio Madre de Dios in the Amazon Basin in lowland southeastern Peru. [That spot also had the similar but larger Rufous Motmot (Baryphthengus martii), which I did not manage to photograph.]

This was the destiny, a lovely waterfall, enclosed by rocks and tropical plants to create a rather romantic jungle atmosphere where you could meet Indiana Jones.
In reality it was stuffed with rather noisy tourists who jumped of rocks into the water. I managed to keep them out of this image (for the most).

Portugalete es un municipio y villa de la provincia de Bizkaia en la C.A. de Euskal Herria. Su fundación se remonta al año 1322, un 11 de junio, a través de la Carta Puebla otorgada por Dª María Díaz de Haro, señora de Bizkaia. Como se puede observar esta villa marinera ha cumplido su 700 aniversario este año 2022.
En la actualidad esta elegante villa marinera es uno de los principales núcleos urbanos de la margen izquierda de la del Nervión y está situada junto con Las Arenas (Areeta) en su desembocadura, donde se ubica el Puente Colgante o Puente Bizkaia, declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO.
Con motivo de la celebración del 700 aniversario de la fundación de esta villa portugaluja, se han organizado una serie de eventos, entre los cuales destaca por su originalidad, la exposición de réplicas de barcos que en su día fueron importantes, entre ellas destaca la “Nao Victoria” buque en el cual Elcano dio la vuelta al mundo hace 500 años y el Galeón Andalucía entre otros.
Fray Fran dice que este edificio no le gusta. Pero da juego y no se cae nada de momento.
Éste fue mi primer texto, luego, vino EfeJota y me dio en toda la "face" con su documentación. Retiro lo de que no se cae de momento porque ya se ha caído en algunas ocasiones. Aggggg
