If such places exist can I please go there?! Always been intrigued about the theory of alternative dimensions, and such is accepted that we create our world via the thoughts in our mind, which to some extent emotively is entirely true, but to be able to transverse from this moment in this place to alternative realities, it begs the question, where would you go? What would you create? I think it really depends on who you are.
Obvious to say this was taken during some light but persistent rain, however, after seeing so many photos on flickr of raindrops on varying surfaces, usually leaves an stems, containing images of what they were reflecting or bending within the light, I wanted to get something similar but more organic. So when I spotted the light emanating the building and tree I snapped off a few, it's tricky getting the focus but think this one was good enough.
I hope everyone is well and so as always, thank you! :)
PS: Zoom in! ;)

The Eurasian Nuthatch (Sitta europaea) is a so-called cavernicolous bird in that it nests in a tree hole, more rarely in a wall or rock cavity. It often occupies a vacant peak nest. It rarely digs its own cavity. It is by squatting abandoned houses of larger birds that the Nuthatch torchepot is showing another originality. Indeed the flight hole being too big for its needs, it works to shrink it so that it reaches only 29-3l mm, which prohibits entry to other candidates, such as the starling for example.
It's the work of the female. By means of saliva-impregnated clay or clay balls, she carefully masonates a jamb to the desired dimensions. It is this ability that earned him the name of torchpot (mud).
I think this is about as dark as my photography has ever gotten for the Dark City Deutschland collection, but I like to experiment and push boundaries; comfort zones are for the uninitiated! This is a skyward LE of the commercial Novotel Tiergarten Hotel in Berlin, taken on a dreary late night and a very light drizzle was present, hence the few drops on the lens, which at first I was objecting to, but Vera, my sexy partner in crime, said it made for an interesting feature within the image so I kept it.
I look at this and I think of dark alternative / parallel dimensions, a co-existence of sinister parameters where all is devoid of recognisable life, yet, all things are consciousness in the darker and more evil sense, if you ever have seen the movie Event Horizon you'll know what I mean; for another words, the building itself is a "living" entity, perhaps even demonic.
So on that delightful and cheery note, I hope everyone is well and so as always, thank you! :)

I had a nice walk yesterday at highpark here Toronto. if you live in gta I highly recommend visiting this park the possibilities are endless. and to my surprise it was filled with people. and that's the beauty of nature. it makes you feel save regardless of what's happening in the world with these double time we are facing as the moment. hope everyone is safe. have a great and peaceful Sunday where ever you might be in this world.
When the noise of the real world gets in the way of inner peace, I gravitate to my camera. Experimenting with various liquid ingredients led to this image. It is comprised of milk, oil, food coloring and drops of liquid detergent,
I went walkabout, as I have done so often before, I do so to just spot things, see things, consider angles and interpretable visualisations, which one can bring to life via the camera beyond assumed limitations. In saying all that, I have become a little too obsessed methinks, with this glass office building just round the corner from where I live. It is fascinating, intriguing and presents on occasion when the lighting is just right, reflective illusions as being wholly coated in glass panels. On this occasion the Sun was just where it needed to be and so, standing by the roadside, being passed by many curious and judgemental drivers, started snapping off a number of shots.
I love this building and I will certainly be back.
I hope everyone's week is off to a great start, my light and love to all and so as always, thank you! :)
My youngest son Shane asked me to take a picture of his Lego train, as if it really existed and functioned in the real world. Like it would have changed dimensions. It had to be an exciting photo in a specific atmosphere. I tried to realize that with this photo, and he told me that this is close to what he had in mind and he is happy with it.

At the container terminal in Bremerhaven there are many container gantry cranes. This one is still a very old one, which was built as a grid tube construction to bring less weight to the pier. With today's requirements, such a bridge is no longer sufficient. Completely different dimensions and designs are required.

The Fallas of Valencia (Falles in Valencian) are festivals that go from the 14th (children's plant) to the 19th (cremà) of March with a tradition rooted in the Spanish city of Valencia. They officially begin on the last Sunday of February with the act of the crida (in Valencian; 'pregón or call', in Spanish).
Currently, this holiday has become a very important tourist attraction, since in addition to being classified as a festival of International Tourist Interest, in November 2016 UNESCO inscribed them on its Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. These festivals are also called Josefin festivals or feasts of San José, since they are celebrated in honor of St. Joseph, patron saint of carpenters, who was a very widespread guild in the city when they began to be held at the end of the nineteenth century, and which has preserved until today, given the importance of the furniture industry in the region.
A falla, or Fallas monument, is an artistic, satirical, and ephemeral work of art, generally of large dimensions (between three and twenty meters high, although they can be larger) with figures called ninots surrounding one or more central figures (called remates) that are placed in the streets during the Valencian (Spain) Fallas festival. The monument generally has a motto and is covered with posters with verses, phrases, and humorous slogans. The monument is constructed of combustible materials (cardboard, wood, paper, fabric, expanded polystyrene, etc.) so that, after a few days of exposure in the streets, it can be completely burned.

"We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells, constellations." ~ Anais Nin
The really amazing thing about being shut away and separated is that we are not so much shut away with all the communication possibilities we have, which makes our lives so much easier. I remember when I had children in Brazil and my family were in Britain, and Gerry, my husband's family were here in the USA it was almost impossible to talk to one another, even telegrams did not necessarily make it, we had to rely on the good old letter, that took its sweet time! But today through the internet etc I am able to keep in touch with my family and friends in Europe, Canada, South America and any state here in the USA. A miracle indeed! Always look on the bright side my friends.
My original photo was taken on the iPhone and then I added another work and new dimensions through PicMonkey and Photoshop and Lightroom.
