I didn't see any Snowy Owls this winter, and by now most have flown back up near the Arctic. However I hope you don't mind me sharing this cute one with you:)

Je n'ai pas vu de harfangs des neiges cet hiver, et maintenant la plupart sont remontés près de l'Arctique. Cependant, j'espère que cela ne vous dérange pas que je partage ce joli avec vous :)
I didn't see the Spotted Towhee eat any of the berries as it perched on a hillside at Davis Mountains State Park: apparently it just liked them for the decor.

28 years, the lines are blurred, my memory faded yet still the pain goes on.
-HummingBird-
People don't sing about days that didn't happen and...
People don't cry for tears that weren't shed
Time doesn't stop when you close your eyes, and our...
Big ol' clock will keep on ticking till it dies
Can you hear the hum of the hummingbird?
Can you smell the breeze carrying leaves that it lured?
Can you cry for your mother and your father too?
Can you breathe until there's no air left in you?
What if there were no wings on a butterfly? And...
What if we walked a thousand days?
How long would it take if we all held hands? And...
How many miles could we go before our heads lay down?
Can you hear the hum of the hummingbird?
Can you smell the breeze carrying leaves that it lured?
Can you cry for your mother and your father too?
Can you breathe until there's no air left in you?
No one's going home tonight without a heartache and a moon light
Keep on moving on until there's nothing else to move on to and we're gone
Can you hear the hum of the hummingbird?
Can you smell the breeze carrying leaves that it lured?
Can you cry for your mother and your father too?
Can you breathe until there's no air left in you?

I didn't do much photography at all while I was at Phillip Island. It actually felt rather freeing. It would be a first for me.
I did visit one of my favourite places -Cadillac Canyon. I always get a drenching here as the water rushes in unpredictably. However, on this occasion it was my dog Harpo that nearly ended up in the water and scared the life out of me.
The Sherpa was walking him off lead to the other end of the beach. There was no-one around and we have been working on his recall. For some reason, he spotted me from the other side of the beach and came running full speed towards me, and up onto the rock ledge where I was photographing from. The rocks are so slippery and he was so close to this canyon. If he went in, there was no rescuing him. I grabbed the tripod and quickly got off the ledge, almost slipping myself. Fortunately he followed and all was well apart from my racing heart which took quite some time to settle back down.
Clearly we still need alot of work on his recall!
Didn't have the opportunity to visit the woods this week but a creative crop of one of my existing stock should fit the bill for this weeks challenge. One of my favourite subjects Mushrooms :)
Didn't think I'd be able to get a shot for this weeks rain drops or dew drop theme, as we have had a rare June heatwave! Luckily (or un-luckily) the weather has started to break and we were treated to a late evening shower! Caught this droplet on the tip of a acer.
Since I didn't have any success photographing birds today I thought I'd spend some time going through images of this past spring. I'll take the next few days to post a bunch of warblers, and other birds! Here is one shot of a perched Tree Sparrow with fog in the background that was actively being burned away by the sun!

♫"I didn’t imagine meeting you
But in my dreams I chase you
I’m feeling a short circuit
I’d like to see you one more night
I’ll look for you in the moonlight
Without hiding that I have my doubts
I feel sad in this rain
That makes my loneliness sprout
The moonlight will unite us in the darkness
To feel true love".♫

♫"No imaginé encontrarme contigo

I hope that you like it ^.^

Didn't get a nice sunrise this morning so decided to head out this afternoon to find some waterfowl in nice overcast light. I love the detail of a Bufflehead in this light!
... we didn't bring a ball to the beach to avoid injuries with Drift … he found a round rock and threw it at our feet all the time … good thinking Drift ! ...

Didn't plan on doing all Native American portraits but I loved these 4 so much I decided to include them all!

A snowy egret demonstrates its fishing prowess, snatching one out of the water with lighting speed. The fish didn't go easily, tail flapping, sending water flying. But go he did, right down the egret's throat.

... didn't get me down on this occasion. A gorgeous morning and no sign of a Crested Caracara. Then the cloud and rain rolled in and up popped this guy on a distant fence post. A first for me.
The following Monday we just happened to be booked on what turned out to be Virgin's last scheduled flight out of Orlando before Mr T brought the shutters down.
Hope everyone is well and staying safe.

As always, thank you so much for stopping by and for leaving any comments or faves, they are very much appreciated.
Maybe I wasn't listening,
Or maybe you weren't saying anything important.
Either way.
I don't hear you.
Didn't have to venture too far to capture this shot, and that's because this 'eye-catching' bird was perched on an aloe plant in the lobby of our hotel.
Also known as the Black-fronted Bulbul.
“Common, near-endemic resident and local nomad in arid savanna, riverine bush and gardens. Occurs singly, in pairs or in flocks; sometimes hawks insects.”

I didn't know what that meant until recently, well five minutes ago actually! I often struggle for a title unless it hits me straight away but it's quite fun discovering new words.Senescence is the process of aging and I thought it went rather well with these fading wildflowers.

This image didn’t go as planned, for the balloon I thought was a part of the setup was flown by the man sitting on the edge of the balloon and he did avoid the ship, but I was winded down by the balloon. So maybe I should have called the image for:
Didn't think I'd post this did ya...wait...is that a tongue pierce?! when did...where's your mother?!
Didn’t take many shots today but had a good day visiting the coast for the first time in a while!
The tide is so quick to go out at Weston-Super-Mare, the sea was under the pier when we got there but was fully out after a portion of fish and chips and a quick coffee.
Didn't seem to mind me watching it probing for breakfast at The Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch, Gilbert, AZ. Feb. 2022
I didn't think I was going to post any Rape Seed fields this year. I felt I had milked them enough in the past. But when you drive past scenes like this .... what can you do?
(And there are probably more to follow, in spite of ethical doubts. Sorry!)

I didn't notice the little bug in the water that the Eared Grebe appears to be after. Perhaps it is a snack for the big baby on her back. Taken at Weed Lake, east of Calgary, Alberta. Can’t wait for summer to come!
Thank you for your visit and comments. They are very much appreciated.
Somebody didn't know how to park their boat. At the South Bay Yacht Club in Alviso. Or, maybe they just had to get it out of the water for repairs. Nah, I like my first thought better.
Old pic, gone now, but funny when I saw it.
I didn't put a lot of thought into this picture. I woke up this morning and thought about what I could make for breakfast that would fit today's theme. Egg on toast came to mind and after a minute in the microwave the egg was ready to be dropped onto the toast. Focus, click, done. A tasty breakfast. Thanks to anyone that stops by to look, like, and maybe comment, HMM!
Didn't originally plan to make this but it happened. It's a really simple figure, just a painted torso.
I did this because I wanted to make the green arrow missile and wanted to have a figure to hold it.
Anyways the fourth and final of my originally planned flashpoint figures will come soon. possibly tomorrow and it is going to be wonder woman.
I am also working on some other smaller characters from flashpoint.
Atticus didn't know what to think about these shoes so I hid a biscuit in one of them, hoping to capture a cool image. LOL! He could not get the biscuit out because he did not want to damage my shoe! Guess we trained him a little too well. He was never a chewer, even as a puppy.
We don’t allow the cats on our countertops here and Tinker looked totally deranged as he tried to convince me he didn’t mean to get up there! LOL! Taken for the Happy Caturday! Group: innocent? Still a drive for cell signal as AT&T lets us down day after day, week after week- no internet service. We cannot seem to get any help. It’s not lines. It’s a matter of network settings they have changed that I have no control over. I have felt desperately cut off from the world.
This one didn't make it home for Christmas. It should be soaking up the sun in the south US or even Central America.
There are few overwintering records for Alberta, and most of those are in the south part of the province.
I first noticed it at the same location two weeks ago. It seems to be healthy. It can fly at least the short distances I observed, and is apparently finding food in the grasses that poke up through the snow in the ditch.
It was quite unwary and often walked so close to me that I had to back off to keep the focus.
